Just because I don't know what I'm talking about, doesn't mean I don't know my point is correct.
Except those times when I don't even know what my point is
in a way, lousy winners are kinda gracious by not being gracious. they elect to win only the game and not the meta-game. you're allowed to hate them. gracious winners, on the other hand, man, those greedy bastards! they gotta win the game AND everybody's hearts too?! ugh!
@Shmojii I got some catching up to do haha. Easier for east coast to add several states in a short period of time, only been to east coast once myself. Looking forward to spending more time that way
@moissanist That's about what I landed on I think. My problem was kinda related to my having spent some travels bouncing around parking lots/national parks/campgrounds etc so I've visited some many times to the point of having stayed haha.
Tbh just didn't wanna have to settle for 69 lol

@Augustus__J@PatrickHeizer @LawrenceHall105 Well, I guess you're probably qualified enough to know a bad idea when you see one considering your likely intimate familiarity with them, but I'm certain that's not qualified enough to speak for the whole world
It was a cheap sit-down place in a stripmall. She was to be my waitress, and if I've ever been looked on with such tantalizingly constrained contempt I don't know when it was.
As always, I was ashamed of my inner excited response. But I fumbled through the pussy-polite normalities of ordering some sandwich as she hovered above me, pen poised over her pad like a dagger over a good heart. And I – don't laugh – must really have considered myself a goodhearted soul back then.
Her veins stood out and her sneer was a comment on the cost she bore of someone ordering her.
The hair was dishwater blonde and her exposed belly taut with the opposite of good cheer. A frame shapely if a bit gangly.
Listen, you’d say she verged on skanky but I’m not gonna use that word.
____
Later I tried sucking her tits into cones. She liked that, said my mouth got an A for effort. Meaning, next thing I knew her panties were stuffed in them.
“I never did that before,” she spat. “Count yourself lucky.”
So yeah, I’d gotten under her skin … which I sat there thinking was sort of translucent, or the color of a bleached wicker basket. Something.
I figured it must’ve been the size of my tip that’d told her what I needed and was willing to offer. I don’t mean this was a money deal; no, I just offered failure after apparent failure, bringing other excuses for fun. And if I’d ever had as interesting a night as that, I didn’t know when it was. Or have I said that.
As we drank from the second bottle of wine, good soul that I was, I naturally had to ask something about her family, or maybe it was her past. Things that I suppose mattered in my world – which is probably where they should have stayed that first night, in my head, in that stupidly average hotel.
Of course, you could just say the luck just continued.
She dragged off her cigarette.
When she spoke next it was to put on a too-sweet air, cock her head, and ask, “What are your intentions?” Then she laughed, smacked my face, and made for the bathroom, telling me—
“Stay here or leave, I don’t care; I’m gonna pee and see what ‘damage’ you did.”
@Shmojii Man I've been literally craving for this to happen for what feels like months but is probably weeks. Idk why it's less frequent in general. Certainly has dropped off since my ear buds charging case broke but even before that been missing it
@HeartofTarkus Wow. The "aliveness" of the voice feels so convincingly genuine I felt like it could've been me narrating this as equally as it could've been any other entity. Very naturally conveyed.
@2_trenchcoat @Augustus__J@PatrickHeizer @LawrenceHall105 Jumping to conclusions and disregarding how things may evolve with implementation of methods such as these is clearly a very uninspired and unimaginative conclusion
Good thing we don't have massive widespread starvation, poverty and destruction already /s
Talk about lunatics 🤣
@Augustus__J@PatrickHeizer @LawrenceHall105 You folks are addicted to fucking extremes and makes any discussion seem totally insincere which is why nobody wants to answer that. There is such a huge degree of variability in scale and implementation of these practices before deciding its the new norm for 8b people jfc
@Augustus__J@PatrickHeizer @LawrenceHall105 Yeah it's literally one of the most worrisome things in my opinion how unsustainable industrial agriculture is for our ecological future.
@sailaunderscore There's always someone who's so dead set on things being impossible that they're willing to ignore any chance of seeing something good progress even if it's steps at a time.
@YakShieMash@aidilmubarock@skdh@mmustapic In tbe last 100 years quality of life has gone up in poverty because quality of life has gone up. The 1700s had a lower quality of life even if you were royalty than most people have today so I think you're just confused on the definitions and idk how to explain it better
@YakShieMash@aidilmubarock@skdh@mmustapic I don't think I can explain with tweets exactly where your disconnect is here. Capitalism brought money so we no longer trade goods for other goods we trade money. That money then paid for the labor and industry that brought running water and infrastructure.
