I was honored to participate in the NELGA Masterclass, where we discused issues surrounding mining, extractivism, and land rights in Africa. These are key issues especially as the world shifts its focus to transitional minerals. @PLAASuwc@NELGA_AU@PACJA1
@PACJA1 voiced disappointment at the slow pace of negotiations, which have failed to produce substantial financial commitments to address Africa's pressing climate crisis, leaving vulnerable communities exposed to devastating impacts.

PACJA Exit Press Conference at #COP29 - A call to Climate Action.
At #Cop29's closing in Baku, @PACJA1 condemned the lack of meaningful progress on the #NCQG for Climate Finance- emphasizing the urgency for Africa's Climate needs to be addressed.
Despite promises of climate finance breakthroughs, @PACJA1 made it clear that the outcome of #COP29 was inadequate, with developed countries not meeting the scale of Africa's needs, leaving critical issues like adaptation and loss and damage underfunded.

At #YOFAFA, the atmosphere is great in the room. With a song on “Double the adaptation finance”, the participants sang together that it is time for climate adaptation financing that meets the needs of the continent.

In 2018 when i was in college after realization that i was already left alone since mama had passed on the previous year and both of my sisters married and leaving in a foreign land i had to man up at 17.
I remember the day i started to mention the statement “Hatiperi” with my colleagues back in college to them it might’ve been just a statement but to me it was more like a sermon, powerful prayer and daily motive in one.
I remember during my tough days i would try to act as if everything is okay around rich kids but knowing deep down theres nothing to eat home..good thing i would always remind myself in God Hatiperi even on situations that were close to impossible and i could still made it through.
I remember investing the only $50 i had saved for months and months to order 2 hoodies, 2 tshirts and 2 beenies from China and brand them hatiperi. As i was anxiously waiting for the order i paid a local friend who helped me to create the hatiperi logo after spending days and days we finally came up with the infinity signs that made everything look spectacular.
Covid happened my order got delayed but i kept waiting till it arrived. The day it finally came after branding the first apparels i
honestly never thought you guys would relate to this statement and quickly support my business.
We kept on making tshirts and hoodies we used to get down town but you guys could still support
I studied poverty and it taught me how to survive by all necessary means.
We built this business and brand from zero without any funding. Seeding came from individuals who genuinely adored what i do and support me. This journey has been full of tears, losses, stress, tears, joy and sometimes wins.
It took me close to 6 years to get the equation right at start up level. The brand now employs 10-15 families depending with how busy the month is, it’s only 4 years since we registered the company but it took me 6 years to get it right
PUT GOD FIRST & NEVER GIVE UP
In God HATIPERI!
