The crash that’s coming is going to make 2008 look like nothing and it is going to be devastating for so many recent buyers.
If you know someone who bought recently(since 2020-2021), just pray for them. They are gonna need it.
I quit my pediatric nursing job to become a full-time trader 6 years ago.
Here are 3 lessons I wish I had learned sooner:
1. Trade less.
More trades don’t create more opportunities. They usually create more mistakes. The best traders are often doing nothing while they wait for their setup.
2. Reduce your position size.
If every candle makes you emotional, your position is probably too large. Smaller size helps you think clearly, follow your plan, and stay in the game.
3. Calculate potential risk - not potential profit.
Before entering a trade, know exactly where you’re wrong and how much you’re willing to lose. The upside will take care of itself.
Trading became much easier when I stopped asking:
“How much can I make?”
And started asking:
“How much am I willing to lose if I’m wrong?”
as long as you are unsystematic
the only thing standing between you and ruin, is simply one play going south
if you are unsystematic, you aren't a trader
you are just someone pushing his luck
this cycle, your main priority should be turning discretionary ideas to systems
$VVV update
Log and linear scale showing clean break of falling wedge following the Bullish RSI Divergence.
Mild resistance around 12.75 & 14.40 -- I think 12.75 will break easily, and may see the first wave 1 hit 14.40.
We want to see this reverse and run to new all time high above $22. A stall below that would telegraph a dead cat bounce and bias would be return to this range.
The higher probability is what I anticipated in quoted post -- that the correction is over and a new bullish trend cycle is now commencing. Not financial advice, but if you're looking for the dip to buy for longer swing trade or investment -- this is it. This next 5-wave cycle could see us at a $77 peak, $33 conservatively.

It's a good day to be a bulliever
Trad markets meh
Garbage overhyped stocks down
Crypto up
Exactly what I like to see
Good first step, bit more and the technicals start lining up quite well too
If you trade trend, you'll get a bunch of false starts
If you trade momentum, you'll often buy the top/sell the bottom
If you trade mean reversion, you'll periodically get carried out by an outsized move
And so on for basically every trading system
This is the cost of doing business that's embedded into every market effect you're monetising
Your job is to understand it and manage it
If you try to avoid it entirely you simply won't get paid
There's no perfect system, it's all about managing trade-offs
Go take a look at your setups/playbook or wherever your trading system lives and map its assumptions and failure cases
The stuff you wanna avoid:
1. Mutating your system because the risk feels uncomfy so you get the worst of both worlds e.g. not holding for long trends/outsized moves but still eating the false starts when you're wrong (all the downside, no balls for the upside)
2. Not knowing what the trade-offs are and sizing like a dickhead so when you're wrong it wipes out all your gains e.g. penny collecting on mean reversion with increasing size and then getting fully wiped on the outsized move
Here's my trading setup for $USELESS . 📊
These are the key levels I'm watching, including my entry, invalidation, and upside targets.
If the structure holds, I believe this setup offers an attractive risk-to-reward opportunity.
Let's see how it plays out. 👀

Christopher Nolan reveals why he cast Matt Damon as Odysseus
"The casting process for the Odyssey generally was starting with Odysseus going"
"Okay who's that gonna be cause that's so defining and Matt Damon is a wonderful actor and an incredible movie star"
"I've worked with him twice before and what I needed was somebody who could bring the audience in because of this is I mean yes there is an iconic as you prefer to some superhero aspect to that"
"He's also a very very flawed complex character and I didn't wanna have to simplify that I wanted to find somebody at the heart of this movie who could bring the audience on that journey"
"And Matt has that incredible empathetic ability to bring people into his character and that's you know hugely exciting to watch him on screen and go through the things he goes through"

Mayne Explains Why Missing the Bottom Isn’t Going to Make You Miss the Bull Run
"Yes I think crypto is in the process of bottoming but I don't think the bottom's in yet and I don't think you're gonna miss out on the bull run not going all in right now."
"I absolutely think now is a good time to pay attention to crypto because things are getting deeply discounted and the downside from here I think is getting more and more limited day by day especially as we creep closer to Q4."
"I don't want you to feel antsy like my God I gotta get all in some guy on Twitter told me I'm about to miss the bull run it's not the case."
"The bottom takes time to form you're gonna have time to buy it just pay attention lock in and now is a great time to learn to trade."
"I've not to shill my own fucking wears in the whiteboard series here but it is a really good time to learn to trade because when the bull run happens things are gonna be coming so fast that if you don't know what you're doing you're gonna just end up blindly longing anything that you see people post about on social media."
"If you can get to a point where you understand the basics of trading the basics of support and resistance of market structure you're gonna make more money in the bull run the basics of risk management you're gonna keep more money in the bull run the simplest things in trading work really well in a bull market breakouts retest basic support and resistance levels"
"it works really well when the market's ripping and if you have that baseline understanding it's gonna help you a lot make and keep more of your money."
Glen Powell says Tom Cruise convinced him to stay on Top Gun: Maverick after he lost the role of Rooster.
Rich Eisen : “You originally auditioned for the role of Rooster in Top Gun: Maverick.”
Glen Powell : “That’s true.”
“I felt great about the audition.”
“Then I got the call that I wasn’t going to be Rooster.”
“I was literally wearing an American flag tank top and aviators.”
“I immediately ended up in the fetal position.”
“It was the worst Fourth of July ever.”
“A few days later, Tom Cruise called me and said, ‘I still want you to do the movie.’”
“I wasn’t sure I wanted to anymore.”
“He and Jerry Bruckheimer invited me to sit down and talk.”
“Tom asked me, ‘What kind of career do you want?’”
“I said, ‘Yours. I’m trying to be you.’”
“He said, ‘Do you know how I do that?’”
“I said, ‘You choose great roles.’”
“He said, ‘No. I choose great movies, and I make the roles great.’”
“That completely changed my perspective.”
“Even being a small part of the Top Gun ride has changed my life forever.”
Luckily, I’m a trader.
I manage 90 per cent of my capital like this: if the market goes up, I trade. If the market goes down, I trade. But when a proper bull market comes along, that’s when the money really rolls in like never before.
Right now, though, the crypto market is a shambles: little logic, low liquidity, manipulation everywhere, all sorts of people launching useless projects and trying to squeeze the last remaining retail investors.
But that’s fine. These are cycles.
My strategy over the last few months has been simple: work day in, day out, protect my capital and bring home dollar after dollar. No ego, no dreams, no random ‘hold forever’ strategies. I do occasionally bet on a high-risk project or two, but purely for speculative spot trading (always with the right level of risk).
Step by step.
The pure holders – those who don’t know how to trade and can’t adapt – are being wiped out today. Because this is no longer the market of 2015–2017.
Today you have to know how to read the market, change tack, protect yourself when necessary and push when the time is right.
You have to adapt to the market.
Not the market to you.
And when the real moment returns, I’ll print very very good
How to remain profitable in both bear and bull markets? Here's what Ansem has to say
"The way you last long-term in bull markets and bear markets, I'll say two things."
"Portfolio allocation: You don't want to be 100% in the riskiest altcoins all the time. You want to have like 70% of your portfolio in safer things."
"The safer assets for me is Solana $SOL, Coinbase stock $COIN, Bitcoin $BTC...... I'm confident those long-term are going to do well."
"With the other 30%, that's my degen part. Perps, on-chain stuff, microcaps, memes... when you hit on one of those big plays, you roll that back into your safer portfolio."
"Market timing: You need high time-frame indicators or signals for when you want to get out of the market and when you want to get in."
"If you want to read a book on TA, a good book is Technical Analysis of Financial Markets by John Murphy. That’ll give you your base layer."
