Nectarios Triantis is the best player in MLS that no one outside of Minnesota seems to talk about 🇬🇷
The 22-year-old center-mid bossed the Loons' frigid win over Cincy.
There isn’t an MLS player in their 20s that I’m more certain will end up in the Premier League than Triantis.
"He spends more time in the stables than on the training grounds, he'd rather have a brush in his hand than a lance...but, by the stranger's will itself, it doesn't seem to matter one morsel."
- Skip Baelish on Ser Nikola "The Jester" Jokić's performance against Golden Province
🚨🇺🇸 James Rodriguez to Minnesota United, here we go! Verbal agreement in place for the Colombian star.
He’s set for MLS move as free agent as final details are being sorted ahead of formal signatures.
James, ready for new chapter. 🇨🇴
@notSeaSmoke@waleedphax@leahray@TheAjibolaGrey Okay but if my mother had two wheels, she’d be a bicycle.
It doesn’t really matter what economy we are talking about, or hypothetical relocations or acquisitions.
You keep trying to argue about the global audience, but that’s not the primary driver of a teams financial value
The replies to this tweet are fascinating. People are really getting put in an emotional blender because they’re misinterpreting “valuable”.
In sports finance, popular/famous doesn’t not automatically equal a high financial value
@notSeaSmoke@waleedphax@leahray@TheAjibolaGrey I’m not sure you understand what argument you’re making.
“People dont give a flying fuck, businesses do. Thats not sports, thats an economy”
That doesn’t refute the original point of the argument, which is the valuation basis of the teams.
🗣️ Because maybeeeeeee
Robin is in Chicago babyyyyyyy
And after alllllll
We signed Robin Lodddddddd 🗣️
We have acquired Finland National Team midfielder Robin Lod as a free agent. #cf97
I like @andrew_wiebe a ton. Genuinely love his work with @MLS.
But the league needs to recognize that fans of the other non-@InterMiamiCF teams simply do not believe that Miami is just “better” at signing players or “want it” more.
There’s a massive credibility issue currently.
@andrew_wiebe Frankly, this is embarrassing levels of intellectual dishonesty, and it’s a bummer to see you push it for engagement (which I realize I am enabling)
