was testing a new feature on @coldvisit_ai so ended up running a full journey audit on a cool ai product's onboarding and it flagged something interesting...

their chatbot says that it has some clarifying questions, but does not ask any or render any questionnaire.

that's a real friction that would cause visitors to bounce off 🤯

@coldvisit_ai has improved drastically in the past few weeks and if you still haven't run it on your onboarding flow then you're missing big time!

ran @elara_stylist through @coldvisit_ai. it got a solid 8/10, and it's a genuinely good page… then it quietly breaks the one promise it made

scored this one 8/10, one of the higher scores i've seen. the hero is sharp, the page actually shows the product thinking, web signup is clean. and then a fresh user asked to get dressed and never got asked a single question 🫠

what's actually working:

the hero is doing real work: "Your AI stylist that actually knows you." one conversation, endless outfits. they even demo a live chat with reasoning, "Linen keeps you cool outdoors." that's not vibes, that's the product sitting on the homepage.

10,000+ people joined before launch. 100+ hrs saved, $400+ saved, 2-3x more of the closet worn. the pitch is easy to believe.

1/ the CTA path is mostly clean

"Get started on web" → google / apple / email. no card. then a profile modal whose "Do it later" didn't skip. twice. three times. two tutorial overlays after that. eleven steps from verify to the chat box. you can get in. it just takes a while.

2/ then the product breaks its own promise

i typed: dress me up for my friend's wedding anniversary.

elara replied: "I'd love to help you put together a great look for your friend's anniversary! A couple quick things will shape the outfit — mind answering these?"

then it never asked one. no questions. no outfit. the conversation just stopped.

this isn't a copy nitpick. this is the funnel working for the landing and failing the moment you take it up on the conversation.

3/ even the send is a little broken

two ways to fire the message. the first click didn't dispatch. had to hit the arrow a second time before elara even replied. small, but it's the same walk. you already fought the skip button. now send needs two tries too.

score breakdown was clarity 9, audience fit 8, action path 7, trust 7, content depth 8. the page is doing almost everything right. the drag isn't the landing. it's that the questions it promised never show up.

none of this needs a redesign @Mehul_Design @Sakshammgoyal. render the questions you said you'd ask (maybe the frontend component is broken or something), or skip them and just send a first look.

shipped a tiny intake field this week on @coldvisit_ai

founders kept asking if coldvisit can walk as *their* buyer, and every run was the same blank visitor

what i didn't need:
a persona builder with ten toggles

agent just judges through that note. doesn't invent page facts to please it.
so far that's enough
