@AB86111@slmeredith3 James Downer former Athletic Director tried his best to get us funding and explained to me repeatedly the problems the university faced. I also heard he was silently removed for someone substantially less qualified . Lots of problems with the whole situation.
When myself and other alums present a NIL collective, and the school admin make 0 effort to adapt and accept changes, this news is not surprising. Also when the school is dominated by student athletes, how do they think this transition will lead to more money/opportunities.
@ima_td74 Never put the athletes first one time in their decision making process. The coaches are what make the programs and are some of the brightest minds in their profession . They constantly tried to change and innovate which the school never listened.
@ima_td74 This is the easy way out in my eyes . The school never made a push to properly fund there student athletes and provide them with the necessary resources to stay D1 . The talent was there all that was needed was some funding . Wild news they should be an ashamed .
Proud of what my teammates and I accomplished while we were a Division 1 football team. With the Lack of resources compared to our competition we still made an impact and competed at a high level. Sad they didn’t try and make the push to stay D1 end of an era .
Perhaps the 1st of multiple schools to make this move in the new era of college sports

Here Tom Brady explains why 99% of QB discussions on the internet are garbage and why he's the goat.
In 5 minutes he clearly distinguishes the main difference between great QBs and average QBs without ever mentioning the one thing that most TV and Twitter NFL analysts focus on - because that "thing" doesn't really matter if the QB is actually great at his job. See if you can spot it? This is a must watch if you love QB play. #GoFins
