Today, I signed House Bill 47, making it a requirement to have life-saving AEDs and an emergency action plan for using them in our schools.

I signed the bill at Worthington Kilbourne High School, where soccer player Canen Dickman’s life was saved last year when his coach administered an AED after Canen collapsed.

Representatives from the @NFL and many others joined us in support of the bill, sharing stories of loss and miracles alike. At the end of the day, these devices save lives. Having them on standby to safeguard our children is a must.

Ella led the girls' team to a 9th-place finish at the Greenville Treaty City Invite last weekend finishing 31st. She leads by example & works hard every day.

On Sunday night, Novacare ATCs Lauren White (@THSATC), and Linda Clarke (#TFAG15Gold, @colerainat) provided the Take 10 Cincinnati Training for over 30 TFA coaches to equip them with life-saving skills. We are very grateful to have this equipment as we open up our fall season.

TFA is incredibly thankful to the @TMMJFoundation who has so graciously donated AEDs for all of the TFA facilities. MMJF strives to reduce preventable sudden cardiac arrests among youth athletes - the number one killer on school campuses and among student athletes.
