@jim_dickinson Wow, I completely understand the frustrations, especially if itโs a regular occurrence, but your whole lifeโs work and commitmentโฆ seems excessive - but seemingly so does a 9-page apology!
@MartinRich106@CDG_81_@Judith_ekn@mdleast@LTHEchat So true. I recalled a set of 10 things that both staff and students were asked to rate in terms of what students felt was important; interestingly their lists were completely inverted.
@leohavemann@CDG_81_@LTHEchat#lthechat, many moons ago the Students' Union Evaluation Initiative suggested that the Union was more than a building nd I completely agree... how can we make it a "feeling"?
@amysampsonuk@LTHEchat#lthechat, true, how can you embed a strategy / build a relationship with a team that changes on an annual basis. The need for joined up thinking and potentially smaller projects. Definitely developing relationships with staff rather than Officers
@LTHEchat#lthechat, I've loved it and sadly wasn't able to answer all the questions but stay in touch and get in touch with your Unions, Associations, Guilds... we definitely want to work with you!
@mdleast@LTHEchat A6, #LTHEchat, love that. My advice for SU staff is to shout in the university's face about who you are and what you do and how collectively you can enhance the student experience and for universities to visit their SUs and find out how you might be able to work collaboratively
@NomadWarMachine@Judith_ekn@CDG_81_@LTHEchat Sadly that can be very true... undertaking this too much creates survey fatigue or a general disinterest if they are unable to see changes
@CDG_81_@LTHEchat A4, #LTHEchat do you struggle to engage these students? I'm concerned about not having a sticky campus and losing commuter students that go home / to work after lectures. How can students be encouraged to stay - or better informed about services available?
@prettyretro72 A4 #LTHEchat I think that is a really powerful way of having meaningful involvement between the two institutions. More Unions / Universities should take a leaf from your book, Coventry SU!
