Pretty sick sick new feature that I am specifically excited about: Android update that makes Quick Share work with Airdrop. So you can easily share files/images between Android phones and iPhones (starting with Pixel 10)

Exciting news! Together with Epic Games we have filed a proposed set of changes to Android and Google Play that focus on expanding developer choice and flexibility, lowering fees, and encouraging more competition all while keeping users safe. If approved, this would resolve our litigations. We look forward to discussing further with the Judge on Thursday.
At earnings today, we announced we've crossed 300M paid subscriptions, led by growth in Google One and YouTube Premium! Amazing momentum in the Subs space 🚀📈 https://t.co/eQb0svQWxE

We don't get to do a lot of Chrome browser events so this was especially fun for the team. Putting the power of Gemini within the context of the browser is transformational. When Chrome launched in 2008, it unlocked the web era and we're doing it again for the AI browsing era. 🚀
From the beginning, we had clear goals for Chrome: simplicity, speed, and security.
And now with AI, we have a chance to make the browser even safer, more intelligent and helpful.
Our next Chrome era is just beginning…
Great to see so much interest in this topic! To reiterate what we announced in our 2024 blog post: we're building the ChromeOS experience on top of Android underlying technology to unlock new levels of performance, iterate faster, & make your laptop + phone work better together. I'm excited about it!
Who wouldn't want a phone that automatically helps protect you from scammers?

As Google's VP and GM of @Android notes, OEMs aren't restricted from preloading alternative assistant services on their devices - as evidenced by @Moto preloading @perplexity_ai on the new razr series.
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but Microsoft spoofing the Google homepage is another tactic in its long history of tricks to confuse users & limit choice.
New year; new low @Microsoft
Android XR, coming in 2025, is arriving along with a Samsung mixed reality headset and glasses after that. Editor-at-Large @jetscott tried a ton of demos, and the always-on AI that can see what amazed him.
Forcing Google to sell Chrome is absurd. Chrome is worth billions to Google but not on the open market. And any company that buys it would just be creating a new monopoly. Also ridiculous: proposals to untie Play from Android, which is impossible. https://t.co/QaDE85lZrN
