Most of the footage of the famous 2000 "Super Mario 128" tech demo was recorded with handheld cameras by the audience, with the presenter drowning out the game sound. Only 10 seconds of direct feed footage exist, which reveal that the sound was a cacophony of Marios screaming.

The kiosk demo of Mario Kart DS contained "Flesh Trucks" due to a spelling error. While the error was fixed in the final version, looking at the preview image for GCN Mushroom Bridge very closely shows that the truck still has an L. As such, the memory of the Flesh Truck remains.

The Mario Party box can very easily be mistaken for the Mario Party 3 box due to the large and prominent 3 on the Dice Block on the cover. As it turns out, not even Nintendo themselves are immune to this, as this mistake was made in an annoucement post for Mario Party 3 on NSO.
