My first Work-Study experience was working in the Financial Aid office and reason that I decided to support and work in College Access as my career. As a #firstgen I can’t image surviving without that experience and pay check/funds.
I love the stories everyone is sharing with me about their Work Study experiences. It is abundantly clear that this program has worked. There is no reason to take it away. The fact that taking away SEOG and Work Study is even on the table is another example of bad policy making.
Today’s #SCOTUS decision takes our country decades backward, sharply limiting a vital tool that colleges have used to create vibrant, diverse campus communities.
Our efforts to promote diversity in higher education are undeterred.
