Ladies and gentlemen, in politics, there are allies... and then there is the inner circle. According to Bobi Wine, Anita Among has just learned that lesson the hard way.

As the regime's much-publicized crackdown on corruption and illicit enrichment continues, former Speaker Anita Among remains at the center of the storm following raids on her home and the investigations surrounding her.

During an interview with Kayz on The American Dream, Bobi Wine didn't mince his words.

He argued that Anita Among made one fatal political mistake: believing she had become part of Museveni's untouchable inner circle. According to Bobi Wine, she never was—and never will be.

To drive his point home, Bobi Wine pointed to what he described as a glaring contrast. If this crackdown is truly about corruption, why, he asked, is Anita Among under pressure while her alleged accomplice, Thomas Tayebwa, remains untouched?

In Bobi Wine's view, the answer has nothing to do with corruption and everything to do with proximity to power. Some people, he suggested, are simply too connected to be sacrificed.

Whether you agree with that assessment or not, one thing is becoming increasingly difficult to ignore: this crackdown is fueling as many political questions as it is legal ones.

Yesterday, the Managing Director of NMG Uganda assured us that nothing had changed and their reporting continues to reflect that. I haven’t seen any bias ,they remain one of the best.
