The pilot just announced @SouthwestAir sent out notification ten minutes ago that masks are optional. Not impressed with SWA dragging its feet and lying to customers for hours, but we are heading home feeling just a little bit lighter.

A TSA agent just told @colonelbsand that that the mask mandate is only lifted in Florida, while the TSA agent who stopped me told me “that hasn’t been enacted yet.” @TSA, why are your agents giving such legally ludicrous justifications for defying a federal court decision?

I just spoke to a @SouthwestAir employee who told me an e-mail went out at 5pm saying there is much to “sift through” and the mandate is still in effect. The e-mail instructed employees to tell customers changes will “take time.” This is obvious defiance of a federal court.
