One thing politics needs is transparency on journalist sources inside government when it does not relate to whistleblowing on serious legal matters,
If a cabinet minister or junior MP wasn’t to leak government information to the press, their name should be on it.
@rebekkarnold He’s more personable and better on the PR/media front, which is really what you need your PM to be as the governing party in this era of populist slop.
I think Starmer led Labour policy has actually been decent sparing the winter fuel/mandelson shit.
If I was Keir Starmer I’d just spend my last few months in power being an absolute bastard and calling a press conference every day to shit on fake news, my opponents and the country at large.
@jenny_wren_01@reformparty_uk They don’t actually want Reform, they want the Labour Party to behave like the Labour Party should and not this weird Red Tory shit they have going on.
Reform are a protest vote.
Being intentionally disingenuous here, if he is as smart as he likes to think he is, it’s more to do with the fact markets don’t like political uncertainty and it likely won’t settle until Burnham becomes leader because the stability will return.
Renegades had good moments but it really is laughable that the last expansion for Destiny 2 was basically just Bungie shoehorning the story of The Force Awakens and A New Hope into the fate saga, we even got Kylo Ren.
Insanity.
@RektPan@SimonHarrisMBD This isn’t me saying social media does not have its uses btw, of course it does but until these companies regulate so they’re safe and accessible places for children, there isn’t really a better option.
@RektPan@SimonHarrisMBD You’re being so reductive here, kids are taught and know how to use technology. They do not need social media to land a job or go to university, with the exception of maybe LinkedIn. If anything, social media use is regularly being utilised against people to refuse them jobs.
@RektPan@SimonHarrisMBD I think that might have more to do with the fact they were physically unable to interact with other human beings during key developmental periods. Nobody is saying kids can’t text each other, you don’t need social media to engage with your peers.
I’ve just been checked over by an ambulance after a group of foreign lads came up behind me while I was doing a debate stand, dragged me to the ground, and kicked and punched me.
I passed out halfway through and don’t remember everything that happened. From what I can recall, it started while I was sitting down, and they took some of my equipment during the assault.
The police arrived about five minutes after the assault, recovering as much as they could. One of my cameras exploded when they tried to seize it, or steal it. Instead of running away with it, they destroyed it, causing the battery to explode.
However, I have the SD card, and we'll be checking whether the footage is still there so they can identify what actually happened.
Members from Stand Up to Racism were counter-protesting, and they were egging them on and filming it.
The police did nothing to stop the counter-protesters or retrieve the footage to see what actually happened.
I’ll be going to the hospital now, as I have a cut and a number of marks on my neck, bruises on my face and the top of my head, and cuts running down my back.
The same people suggesting we shouldn’t ban social media for under 16’s are the same people saying kids shouldn’t be taught about stuff they don’t like at school.
Interesting that they want to keep the pipelines to the extremist branches of all political persuasions open though.
@JayDarkmoore Freedom of speech blah blah blah but the same people who support this wouldn’t want them to be able to vote either so it’s a redundant fucking argument.
Current political discourse in this county boils down to wanting people to be indoctrinated to love a flag whilst tearing down other flags so they don’t indoctrinate children whilst also saying it’s outrageous that kids get free breakfast.
