Since I don't use twitter, if any of my followers would like to connect substack is the way. https://t.co/bfHJE4JGnT I will also be publishing a weekly article on Engineering Leadership, come learn with me! :D
It's sad to see @elonmusk have such a bad take on WFH. Applying first principles thinking would mean having leaders who measure output, not worker input (ie needing to see them working). WFH creates a more sustainable future, and enables so many more people to contribute.
@waitbutwhy It's useful. Once your oldest kid can drive, they can do errands and jobs for you. I don't agree with it to be clear but with 5 kids I can understand the appeal :p
As an engineering/people manager I try to be as vocal about taking wellness days as possible to encourage my direct reports to take care of their mental+physical health. It's easy to work through it, especially remote, but it sets a terrible example.

@sanaerosen It's huge on TikTok for Gen-Z to point out that Millenials like Harry Potter, which Millenials didn't believe was a generational thing, they felt HP was universal. It's pretty amusing, and yes a ton of adults still love and are obsessed with HP
@TylerSzabo This my experience 100% of the time when I call my ISP. Always blaming the modem and getting me to reboot it, hard reset it, etc. It has not once fixed the issues.
