@Shpeshal_Nick I like that he claims to be “a grown assed man” meanwhile he’s still making videos, crying about this.
He’s not going anywhere. He’ll be playing his digital games across PS6 and handheld and that will be that.
@Shpeshal_Nick@Kaiser499 In addition to cost, it’s also a really poor delivery method when so many games can’t fit on a disc, require day one downloads etc
@InfiniteGrunt@JezCorden I agree but there are some absolute bangers between The Dark Ages and Revelations. Different styles suiting the different tone of the games.
@oliver_drk The majority of PlayStation owners buy digital games. So he maybe does not represent the average PS owner, but he does represent the majority.
@FyLaw95@MiamiSunryze Yes, I can read. He was affected and still doesn’t care about physical.
It’s a delivery method. He will sell his own games via the delivery methods available. Then when digital is the only option, he will only sell his games digitally. Not rocket science is it.
@_Deez_Games@nixus237@replicant2097@PlayStation@Sony They make something, you purchase that something from said company. It’s a transaction. You don’t have to make that transaction if it doesn’t suit your needs.
You’re getting emotional over the delivery method of those products. Very strange.
@panik1881@oliver_drk Ultimately, whether we like it or not or it's right or wrong. If someone's experience and skillset isn't aligned to a new strategy then they are no longer needed.
The Doom games are impressive because idTech has high control over how the renderer worked with the GPU, which allowed great performance despite huge levels with many enemies and without frequent asset stream hitching.
It's hard to get that with a one-size-fits-all solution.
id Software was one of the few AAA studios that was doing what people have been asking AAA to do: deliver highly technically performant/quality launches consistently for single player experiences and without predatory microtransactions.
