The issue is that we’ve moralized being rich. We see richness as abundance when abundance used to mean more than financial wealth.
When you think being rich is innately good you will do anything to justify the actions. Many see capitalism as their true gods.

This is for all the people who dismiss the need for opportunity for anyone except our top students. All of our children have potential, talent and worth. We don’t throw away the ones who blossom late.
I think many GenZ folks are seeing, for the first time, the horrors of the American empire. Except — it’s being live-streamed straight to their phones. Media that denies what’s happening will simply lose them. There’s no going back from this.
