I keep the site up but haven’t had much time to do more translations as of late. I am writing a book though with a Bond focus and a lot of unreported info I’m excited to share. I’ll be presenting some research later this year as I continue writing.

@DamnFoolCrusade @GreatCheshire My favorite thing about that episode is that, like so many villains, Baby Doll brings about her own downfall, and Batman never kicks her while she’s down. He just stands there in quiet understanding. Great stuff.

@yardsaleartist If you like the first film, I recommend the novel and its sequel, Death Sentence. The first film is a good, faithful adaptation though it glorifies violence at the end, so the author wrote a sequel as a response.

@yardsaleartist No lie, at the hospital after my son was born, he cried so much, almost non stop the second night and we couldn’t sleep. I wrote a friend, “Lloyd Christmas was right,” thinking he’d get the joke. He earnestly wrote back, “About what? About John Denver?”

@DamnFoolCrusade Absolutely right! The only time this makes sense is when you’re being experimental and playing with formats like Natural Born Killers or something. In film, the image is burned onto the frame and revealed by silver. There is no depth in trying to fake it.

@DamnFoolCrusade @LicenceToQueer One of the reasons they work so well is writer German Gabler, a very nice man I’ve purchased art from, got the job in part because he understood English and could best adapt and embellish upon the novels.

@DamnFoolCrusade Yeah, I’m keeping my Spanish blu-ray of True Lies. It’s an old master for the D-VHS release, but the colors are warm and the grain is there, so it looks true to the film and the era it came from.

@DamnFoolCrusade No kidding, buddy of mine met his future father-in-law and the guy had a Phurba dagger he tried to pass it off as an antique! Couldn’t believe my pal identified it but my friend told him, “I have like five friends who can tell you what this is!”
