Of course, something needs to be clarified. When planning with Sonnet, I use the desktop application. It reads the codebase directly and creates plans accordingly.

If anyone has any open-source model suggestions, I'm ready to try them. I haven't wanted to test them in a workflow yet.

Different AI models have different strengths, and for a solo developer, choosing the right model is crucial for both sustainability and cost. My clear preferences after 9 months:

- Sonnet for planning and practical solutions,
