The criticism directed at you has nothing to do with your being a woman or a person of color. The great majority of your critics are themselves people of color. They are Iranians.
This is not the first time your partisanship toward the Islamic Republic-and especially toward its so-called reformists-has been this naked. And everyone knows it will not be the last.
In recent years you have been one of the principal champions of Javad Zarif and Hassan Rouhani, two of the most despised security and corrupted figures of the Islamic Republic.

You have repeatedly spread falsehoods against the Iranian opposition.
You have published fabricated rumours-such as the supposed “uprising that would return Ahmadinejad to power” without a shred of evidence, citing only sources who, in your words, “did not want their names disclosed.”

Was it not you who lied about the manner of Ismail Haniyeh’s death?

Was it not you who helped your patrons in Tehran whitewash the blood of Iran’s January crimes?
Was it not you who tried to sensor Iranian protestor’s chants (Javid Shah_Long Live The King) while being massacred by Islamic Regime!

Over these years, your systematically biased reporting in favor of the Islamic Republic has earned both you and this newspaper a dark and well-deserved reputation.
Continue on this path. And whenever the criticism grows too loud, retreat behind the shield of the “persecuted woman journalist of color.”
