Just helped kick off the first Girls on the Run Girl Power 5K at James Regional Sports Park. GOTR joined me in June when we officially opened the full 3.1-mile loop at the Park, and I’m thrilled they’re the first official 5K event being hosted here!

Enjoy National Night Out festivities on October 6 & 7👮 🚔 NNO is a chance to meet local law enforcement and connect with neighbors. Events will be taking place at Town Square, in Searchlight, and in Laughlin. Check out the flyers for additional details.

Clark County gathered for our 1 October Sunrise Remembrance Ceremony to honor and remember the 58 lives lost and the two others later who passed away from their injuries, the survivors, the first responders, and all those forever impacted by #1October.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our @ClarkCountyFD, @LVMPD, and @ResJustCenter for their continued dedication, strength, and support for our community.

Special thanks to Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo, LVMPD Sheriff Kevin McMahill, and Clark County Commissioner @CommishNaft for sharing meaningful remarks on unity, resilience, and memory.

Each year, we hear from a family member who lost a loved one during that night. This year, Debby Allen shared a heartwarming tribute to her son, Christopher Roybal, who was a U.S. Navy combat veteran. Her youngest son, Jayson paid tribute to his brother with a deeply touching performance of "Scars in Heaven."

To the families, survivors, and community members, we stand with you today and always. We continue to honor the lives lost and impacted nine years later and we will #NeverForget no matter how many years pass. #VegasStrong #VegasStronger

Following up with @VegasPBS on our School Traffic Safety Working Group’s Improvement Plan. It’s been about 45 days since our @clarkcountynv Office of Traffic Safety presented this to the County Commission. Currently, 14 of 19 immediate actions have been checked off this plan ✅

It was an honor to welcome the Nevada Hotel and Lodging Foundation to the @ClarkCountyNV Government Center for a reception celebrating the 23 hospitality students who received scholarships made possible through the Great Chef Run.

September is Baby Safety Month! Today, I teamed up with Baby’s Bounty and @UMCSN’s Healthy Living Institute (HLI) to talk safe sleep, home safety, pool safety, and car-seat safety. Plus, our HLI team demonstrated proper car-seat-installation techniques and recommendations.

I had the opportunity to officially welcome All In Tennis Academy to District A 🎾 From junior programming to adult clinics and socials — plus a full Pilates room and gym — All In is a one-stop shop for beginner tennis players to pros 💪🏼

I was humbled to take part in Sun City Anthem’s meaningful 9/11 memorial ceremony. Thank you, for the opportunity to speak about the tragic events of 25 years ago, and the need to educate the next generation about the heroic actions that took place in the aftermath.
