Thomas Massie's loss is a further vindication of the need for independent politics.

Massie should've known this day was coming and should've left the Republican Party.

Some people claim Fidel Castro had a relationship with Jeffrey Epstein to deflect blame away from financial elites and onto a Communist leader.

That claim collapses under the latest leaked emails, which vindicate Castro, showing him to be an enemy of sex traffickers.

In them, Epstein explicitly describes Castro as a barrier to his activities in Cuba.

“Fidel Castro died now a lot of possibilities for me,” Epstein wrote in a 2016 email, the same month Castro passed.

That tells you everything.

Before the Cuban Revolution, Havana was full of brothels that were frequented by Western financiers. After the revolution they were shut down & kicked to the curb, with many of those interests relocating to places like Las Vegas.

What does not exist in the leaks is any evidence of correspondence or a relationship between Castro and Epstein.

If it did exist, you can bet the Trump administration would have released it immediately for political purposes.

The ruling capitalist elite always wants to pin its crimes on Communists. But in reality, socialism has historically been the strongest barrier to elite trafficking networks.

Just look at how trafficking exploded in Eastern Europe after the fall of socialism.

Every capitalist accusation against socialism is pure projection.

Over the weekend, ACP Minnesota hosted a winter clothing event in Powderhorn park, South Minneapolis, offering coats, sweaters, mittens, hats and more.

Much of it got taken, the remainder given away to Holy Rosary Church in conjunction with Loaves and Fishes alongside Peace House, where warm meals are offered to those in need.

Everyday it becomes more clear: as the institutions and support systems required for a functioning society fail, and as those in power abandon the very citizens and principles that enable their existence, working people must look out for eachother themselves.
