Helping all community front lines be seen & helped when in need. Also helping with information, supports & innovation. Ever evolving to help. #VolunteerRun
We started our effort with all #Community#FrontLineHeroes in mind. We have supported those helping our most vulnerable across #Canada (& world)
Now as folks have started noticing key areas where help is needed, we'll pivot a bit so we don't forget but continue to help more. ❤️

But with #COVID19 cases rising, you should put it on more often than you think — which could mean at private gatherings, around friends & family, and even some outdoor settings.

The current rise in case numbers is very concerning and reflects that our vigilance in the community needs to be stronger. We need further restrictions in how we gather indoors, socially as well as in restaurants and bars!

If you/your org are responding to #COVID-19 & could use help from volunteer researchers, scientists, health care professionals, students in these disciplines, 5000+ volunteers @COVID_19_Canada can help.
Here is some of what we're already doing:
"This is a catastrophe within a pandemic within a crisis."
This is happening across Canada.
COVID reduces shelter space + homeless people flee shelters fearing COVID = rise in encampments + new homeless from COVID + annual winter spike

This is incredible.
PEI's new Healthy School Lunch Program, avail to all students:
1) You can pay full amount of your child’s lunch max $5/day
2) You can pay an amount that you can afford to pay at that time
3) You can order lunch for your child if you are unable to pay at all
#Parents: This is the perfect weekend to look for a comfortable, well-fitting #mask for your #child and start practising at home!
