Its harder than ever for genuine #whistleblowers to be believed and therefore vital opportunities to stop abuse and other wrongdoing are being missed. The below case sums up everything that is wrong, #WBUK will champion the fake as whistleblowers for the right price and as a direct consequence have turned #Whistleblowing into a tawdry circus where far too many claiming to be #Whistleblowers are liars, bully's, con artists and criminals. #WBUK have turned #Whistleblowing on its head to the extent #Whistleblowing is becoming synonymous with being the abuser not the champion of the abused

I think this article gets just about everything right. It was the motley group of people not willing to put up with the bill that ultimately defeated it. I have immense respect for @DavidAltonHL and his efforts in doing so.
The article is correct to thank @RightToLifeUK, which played a huge role in defeating this bill. Other Christian groups such as @spucprolife, @christianorguk, @CConcern, @CatholicUnionGB, @CARE and others also contributed, Muslim organizations like @BritishIMA as well as secular organizations like @CNKAlliance, medical organizations like @OurDutyOfCare, @UK_CMF and individual medics and eating disorder researchers like @ChelseaRoff and gender-critical feminists like @kathleen_stock1. The constant efforts of those in the HoL like @Tanni_GT, Baroness Finlay, @Fox_Claire@danielmgmoylan, @theresecoffey and others as well as those like @RachaelMaskell, @danny__kruger, @NazShahBfd, Sarah Olney, @Rebecca_SPaul and, again, countless others in the House of Commons should be acknowledged. Lord Alton rightly credits the disability groups who opposed #assistedsuicide for many years but don't forget we few atheists like the invaluable @thelizcarr who have spent many years convincing everyone that it is possible to support abortion rights but oppose AS and keeping the peace between members of the motley crew.
Above all, however, it is the correctness of our arguments against #euthanasia and AS that fatally undermined a well-funded and slick campaign. When people pay attention, they agree that AS is not a good idea. https://t.co/VCUthNZxsc
FUNERAL EVE INTERVIEW
Louise Dar was 7 months pregnant when she faced the auditors.
The day before her mother's funeral, Louise Dar was questioned. Post Office called it a formal interview, which is a lovely name for asking a grieving woman where the money went.
I read Louise Dar's sworn statement to the Post Office Horizon IT Inquiry @PostOffInquiry. She took over the village post counter in Lenzie, near Glasgow, in November 2014.
She is a mum of 3 and a former IT analyst, and before opening she asked for training on what to do when the books do not balance. She says she was fobbed off, and that a trainer told her cost cutbacks had shrunk the course from 5 days to 3.
On day one, she says, auditor Margaret Guthrie suggested she had taken the £977, even though they had been together all day. Louise Dar says Margaret Guthrie had entered the stamps wrongly herself and could not find her own mistake. Her advice for future trouble was to get on with it and ring the helpline. Reassuring stuff from the person sent to check everyone else's sums.
Then the audits came. In July 2015 about £10,500 was found missing and her branch shut for 6 weeks. She repaid £877 a month for 18 months. Two more audits found about £2,500 in 2016 and £6,900 in 2017.
She says losses kept appearing while she was locked out of the system ....
She says she paid or had deducted over £44,000. Her mother-in-law sold jewellery to help. She says her contracts manager Brian Trotter asked her several times to admit falsifying the books. Persistence like that deserves a bonus..
Her mother died suddenly in March 2017. She says Post Office summoned her to a formal interview the day before the funeral and accused her of stealing.
Thoughtful scheduling, really. Her appointment ended on 27 March 2017 and she was never charged. Her mother never saw her proved right.
Post Office tells it differently. It says her appointment ended for repeated failures to account for cash and stock, and for being unable to explain or repay the last shortfall. It says its investigation found falsified entries under her assistant's login and that she later accepted she was responsible for an unexplained currency gap. Its barrister put it to her in the High Court that the losses came from her or her staff's dishonesty or errors.
She denied it and said the helpline once told her to change stock figures. Its barrister said that did not happen. She said it categorically did.
She was one of 6 lead claimants for 555 postmasters in the High Court case against Post Office, which left her outside the Historic Shortfall Scheme. She told the Inquiry on 11 May 2022 that her payments hardly touched her debts.
In January 2024 she asked Police Scotland @PoliceScotland to investigate. It said it was not investigating at that time.
The government owns Post Office and the Department for Business and Trade runs the compensation, so the owner is also the claims desk. Very handy.
Louise Dar asked for troubleshooting training. @PostOffice gave her the trouble.
Disgraced former Labour politician to be a core participant in the Government’s National Inquiry into Grooming Gangs.
I hope she will be challenged over her wrongdoing towards Rotherham survivors, including her attempts to silence them and me by reporting us to the police and instructing solicitors to take me to court.
She failed miserably. Truth always comes out in the end.

HE BLEW THE WHISTLE. PATERSON TOLD HIM HE WASN'T NEEDED
Surgeon Hemant Ingle joined Solihull Hospital in 2006. Paterson: "You shouldn't have been appointed, we don't need you."
Ingle took concerns to management. Paterson "didn't want anyone rocking the boat."

My house is sinking. All my independent reports show the insurer lied. The Financial Ombudsman Service @financialombuds investigator read only the blatant lies the insurer gave him.
PPE MONEY: WHAT HAS DHSC CLAWED BACK?
The ICO has ruled DHSC can't use law-enforcement or confidentiality exemptions to hide what it has recovered from Covid PPE suppliers.
It must disclose by 8 November, 30 days from the 9 October ruling.
We're watching.

Thanks, Tracy. If WBUK has been advising the FCA, the FCA should say so publicly and on what terms. Whistleblowers deserve to know who shapes the rules meant to protect them. I'll look into it.
Please note that throughout #covid#WBUK did not publish a single report or piece of work, they did not mention what was going in care at all. What they did do was make malicious alligations to the @ChtyCommission at a time when this charity was supporting hundreds of #Whistleblowers and we had a 60% increase in helpline calls. We are eternally grateful to @PrivateEyeNews for exposing the weaponised malicious attack, which resulted in @ChtyCommission apologising to us.
#WBUK needs to apologise to us and to those we were supporting throughout the pandemic.
Please note*We have full screen shots of the #WBUK website throughout the pandemic.
WBUK just cannot do accuracy/detail -it’s number 1 in Practical Guides to Law, an Amazon subcategory.
As I understand it, the SRA have agreed to take another look.

9 years of the BC NDP 😱 We have suffered and sacrificed under their tyranny. They took our Hospice from us ($8 million of our assets) because we refused to kill our patients with MAiD. We stood to defend authentic Palliative Care and we have survived 😢 Tonight we have HOPE! Hope that the new BC Conservative government will allow us to build a Sanctuary Hospice - to honour and affirm our patients lives and care for them until their natural end. ♥️
@SueFlood52 has been a tenacious campaigner for many years and she has done a superb job raising awareness of the lived experience of pension scam victims.
I've had the privilege of getting to know Sue well and I know she has always given 100% of herself for the benefit of others; she's a true inspiration, and always so impactful when she speaks about the plight of the victims.
So to learn of this development is very sad.
I just hope Sue makes a full and speedy recovery.
Very best wishes to you, friend; and all the other victims working together to make a difference to others.

So sorry to hear this, Lee. RIP Heather.
Another subpostmaster gone before full and fair redress was paid. How many more will die waiting?
Every month of delay is a choice made by @PostOffice and government.
LAWYERS PAID FIRST
Government figures show £17.6m in legal costs on the Overturned Convictions scheme. That is equal to 26% of the redress paid.
These postmasters had already been cleared by the courts.
Why does it cost so much to pay people we already know were wronged?
