It’s not ideal. HOWEVER, Imai was dealt a bad hand of cards when he first arrived in the NPB. It’s gotten steadily better, and this was a career year overall.

He was at 2.5BB/9 this year. 4.4 lifetime. Less than 3.0 is the key to success.
