@The13thBird@catherinespaws Arguably if a short crop interferes with communication so do drop ears. I've yet to see evidence that cropping has a notable difference in social cohesion. It's not like bull breeds are known for being fantastic at dog body language. Are we controlling for the asshole variable?
@Andiders@23skiddsy@luvkorone We could get really into the weeds here but if you want a scholarly article here you go. It's just way harder to parse than an intro to genetics website. https://t.co/FuMNZovZAl
@The13thBird I'm so confused. "This is for straight women to fetishize gay men, if it was really for gay men it would have sex in it" the romance story... With no sex... Is fetishizing gay men..
@Andiders@23skiddsy@luvkorone I already replied to you an hour ago with proof my guy. Has nothing to do with the breed and everything to do with how genetics work. https://t.co/wZq1Vi88Wa
@23skiddsy@Andiders@luvkorone I mean fawn dogs don't generally have black spots like that. Closest would be something like saddle tan. I 100% agree about liver being an even worse match but in the answer to the question "what color is cartoon Scooby?" Is it's not a real color/pattern.
@The13thBird@pedigreepilled I'm firmly of the belief too that a proper temperament for a legit bull and terrier is the old "a real game dog never engages with a cur" If my dog isn't clear headed it isn't getting bred and it's never going to compete regularly either because I'm running a dog, not a kite.
@The13thBird@pedigreepilled No it's exactly how I feel too. Most real deal dogs aren't even hot in a reactive way and you can see the difference if you know what to look for. Reactivity also doesn't correlate with gameness except probably negatively so why is a dog that turns purple in the ring rewarded?
@The13thBird@pedigreepilled Yep. I enjoyed my time there but ultimately the undesirable elements pushed me back into AKC, UKC and independent weight pull orgs. Obviously with Staffords we weren't doing conformation except for fun classes but even those I felt encouraged more reactive behavior in my dogs.
