Omarchy + Familiar + ChatGPT set up my local Qwen agent with llama.cpp and DeepSeek Harness. It can call on ChatGPT Pro and Grok. Feels like magic.
If that sounds like gobbledygook, soon it’ll just be: “Computer, send my receipts to accounting.”
Honestly, cooking and cleaning robots impress me way more. That's what will change daily life.
But I can't deny this is impressive. Skills will generalize. The same robot that cooks your breakfast will be able to do this.
Engram is DeepSeek's most important breakthrough in 2026, and that says a lot given that they just open sourced their entire inference serving stack to the public for free
Holy shit editing headless without davinci or any NLE is so unbelievably good. Just tell Opus/Astra to use python and FFMPEG this shit is SO FAST. Edits happen within seconds rather than minutes.
Introducing Eleven Realtime, a new class of Speech to Speech models.
Voice agents usually make you choose between quick replies or precise answers.
Eleven Realtime gives you both. It starts talking in half a second and gets spoken reasoning questions right.
Been screaming it from the rooftops.
Every CEO needs to send their 10x engineers into HR for like 1 week to gut the fuck out of it.
It's the lowest hanging fruit across thousands of the largest corporations.
Many people underestimate how negatively lack of sleep affects judgment, learning, and problem-solving. And no, this is not just a kids' thing.
We depend on our brain; give it adequate rest!
I need to remind myself to not prematurely close the book on local, always-on agents.
ChatGPT's Dot is pretty remarkable. It is intelligent and capable, but it has waaaaay too much goddamn Main Character Syndrome.
Grok Bot, likewise, is just dimwitted.
Neither of these are intractable problems. I mean, Grok being being low IQ might be intractable due to the beliefs at SpaceX about what constitutes "facts" and "rigor" and there's no amount of AI that can overcome an idiotic culture, but time will tell.
I think that part of OpenAI's and Anthropic's moats is that they are both comfortable with (and explicitly want) to create something smarter than them. Google, too.
SpaceX doesn't seem to actually want to create something smarter. Or, they are so backwards, that they are using their intelligence as the cap (which is not very high TBH).
I'd love to be proven wrong, like how Google came from behind with Argon.
But yeah, you can't fix bad culture and bad epistemics without a major shakeup of strategy, philosophy, and leadership.
My "dream team" right now would be:
1) Gemini's lack of bias + friendliness + emotional intelligence
2) Grok's lack of ego
3) ChatGPT's epistemic rigor
4) Claude's sense of aesthetics
Unfortunately, getting these guys to work together is like herding angry kittens on meth.
@NVIDIAAI just dropped 8 open model families at GTC Berlin, and every one is built for Europe to run on its own hardware.
01 : Nemotron 3.5 Super VL : multimodal agents, live now
02 : Nemotron 3.5 Bolt : small edge models, out 23 October
03 : Nemotron Retriever : embeddings, reranking, document parsing
04 : Kumo : forecasting and fraud scoring on business data
05 : Cosmos 3.5 : world models for robots and self-driving
06 : Alpamayo 2 Edge : real-time driving decisions
07 : BioNeMo RFD4-Proteina : protein design, reportedly 13x faster
08 : Ising : quantum hardware calibration and error correction
Mistral, Black Forest Labs and H-Company helped build the Nemotron line.
The pitch is sovereign AI: your data, your servers, no sending it to someone else's cloud.
Is open weights enough for Europe to compete, or does it still need its own frontier model?
We’re releasing more open models to help teams across Europe build AI with their own data, on infrastructure they control.
Announced at GTC Berlin, the models help developers, researchers and enterprises build specialized AI agents, train robots, design proteins and develop quantum computers.

Grateful to @deepseek_ai for releasing DeepInfer, initially built primarily on @vllm_project, under Apache 2.0 and crediting the open-source community!
We've worked hard on DeepSeek V4.1 Flash inference efficiency and will keep improving with ideas from DeepInfer! Stay tuned 🙌
AI will be able to compute the perfect delta of what you understand and don't, helping you progressively learn any idea and unravel any mystery.
If you so desire, you'll reach the maximum of your capability and intelligence. The ultimate education. For free.
The guy who gave us QLoRA, says DeepSeek's inference system is on par with OpenAI's stack and better than what Anthropic runs, at least at their scale.
Now check the license. Apache 2.0.
Until today a production stack at that level existed inside a handful of companies. It was the thing that made their API fast and their margins fat, and none of them ever showed it to anyone.
Today any startup, any university, any cloud in any country can download it, read it and run it. It runs on NVIDIA Blackwell and on Huawei Ascend, so it isnt tied to 1 chip vendor either.
This is what I mean when I say open weights are about more than downloading a chatbot. DeepSeek is giving away the knowledge that only a few labs had, and that changes who can build an AI company at all.
Respect @deepseek_ai
Omarchy 4.5 RC1 is available as a pre-release ISO for both x86 and ARM, as well as on the RC channel. Absolutely packed with features and improvements. Please help us test it! https://t.co/mpu2KpkbYw
