Watching Birdman, Y Tu Mama Tambien and The Shape Of Water changed my life each time. I owe almost all of it to the Three Amigos when it comes to my love for cinema.
Innaritu’s cinema is always how i’ve viewed the world and how I think about the people in it. Death, misery, pain, existentialism. Fragility represented, always in a hyper exaggerated format is exactly how I love it. Fearless, unapologetic and bold cinema always. 🐐
My favourite modern director is back after 10 years. Over a year of waiting for Digger. Tom Cruise finally doing a no fucks given role again after so long. The stars have lined up.
when mediocrity is rewarded, excellence has no incentive.
as a nation, we are okay with being mediocre. even the bare minimum requires applause. just showing up is considered an achievement.
we accept mediocrity as culture and call it humility.
@Dikshyant_kr It’s been a while I’ve tested how far I can go in one go. I’ve been out of touch with working out regularly. But on any given day I could hit at least 10-12 pull ups and 50-60 pushups. So 4x-5x is a good rule of thumb I guess.
@SouadH9 Yep. And you might get big tech jobs by solving leeetcode and knowing your way around problems using ML. But you can never become a great researcher because researchers at the forefront of AI/ML/DL have spent years mastering the underlying mathematical principles.
My mentor taught me how teaching is an honour and one of the greatest responsibilities one can take on. Took me long enough to get the depth of his words but better late than never.
I hope this reaches out to the communities and people drop down their suggestions :)
our kids will think we were crazy for using Google for 20 years
"so you typed a question, got 100000 blue links gamed by SEO agencies, opened 11 tabs, skimmed each site, pieced together an answer, and repeated this process 20 times a day?" they'll think we were digital cavemen.
