The disability benefits for housing in BC are a disgrace. The shelter allowance is only $375 for a person and $570 for a couple. But the average rent in BC is over $1,500 for a one-bedroom apartment.
Do you want disabled folks to die, @bcndp ?
You are not alone in this fight. There are millions of Canadians who are struggling to pay rent, save for a down payment, or find a decent place to live. There are hundreds of activists, organizations, and Canadians who are working for housing justice. We are with you. ✊
