I just want to say that Israel murdering members of the Palestinian resistance is illegitimate, and we should use proper language around this issue.
For a long time, I was bothered by the reference to civilians when it came to counting the murdered, because implicit is the idea that Israel murdering resistance fighters is somehow okay. It's much like the way that the reference to women and children implies that the killing of men is okay.
Whether Hamas, Jabha, Shoyouiyyeh, etc., they are also civilians. They are indigenous, armed civilian resistance movements against a belligerent, expansionist, foreign colonial cancer.

The resistance’s “Stay Aware” security platform has announced that “Following the assassination of Commander Muhammad Odeh, accounts linked to Unit 8200 have instigated an incitement campaign emerged.

The ‘Stay Aware’ platform has monitored public reactions to the assassination of the Palestinian commander Muhammad Odeh and observed coordinated incitement activity carried out by a network of fake accounts using Arabic and Palestinian names and images.

Analysis of the content indicates that these fake accounts attempted to exploit the assassination in order to portray the resistance as suffering from a security penetration, with the aim of undermining confidence among resistance fighters and casting doubt on the movement’s internal system of work.

The ‘Stay Aware’ platform warns against following these fake accounts, which are believed to be affiliated with Unit 8200 intelligence. The platform further stresses that the occupation’s aim is to gather information and lure citizens into divulging details of any kind.”

I have been a scholar of Hizbullah for over three decades, and throughout that time I have been repeatedly asked when, whether, or how, it will disarm. Yet in the context of Israel's daily terrorism in the south and the Bekaa, and beyond, the question today has become even more absurd, because those who pose it somehow still fail to grasp that they aren't simply asking about an organisation, but about whether an entire people — the people of the south, the Bekaa, and Dahyeh, Lebanon’s Shia community, and a constitutive part of the Lebanese state — should willingly surrender the only means through which they have resisted their own genocide. And the answer to that is something that rings even more true today than it has in the past--there will be no disarmament of Hizbullah's Resistance, with a capital R, or of any other popular resistance that may emerge with a lower case r, so long as the genocidal Israeli entity exists.
