@Devon_Eriksen_ Southern European here. I live in a 150 year old house with 80cm thick granite walls. All my windows are til and turn. Closed windows in winter, tilted windows in summer. I can keep my house 20/21 ºC year round with minimal heating in the winter. Why would I need an AC unit?

@MagellanQuest In Portugal kids these days can choose between Spanish, French and, at least, German as their second foreign language. I think schools are also allowed to offer other languages, but I'm not sure.

Opinião impopular, o resultado final de ter a esquerda radical anti UE no poder em vários países europeus, servindo de cavalo de Troia e idiotas úteis para o Islão radical político ou a direita radical nacionalista cristã performativa não é propriamente diferente.

A UE acaba, os direitos e liberdades individuais desaparecem, especialmente das mulheres e a miséria e opressão serão o novo normal.

Por isso é que acho piada (de forma trágica) a esta luta da esquerda e direita radical entre elas.
A alternativa é uma, o centro europeísta que trabalhe rumo a uma federação europeia.

An Iberian union only makes sense if all the countries comprising the kingdom of Spain become "independent". An Iberian Union of all Iberian countries as equals. A simple union between Portugal and Spain will eventually make Portugal a vassal of Spain. Fuck that!

But only if we fix a few things first:

– Make my last name actually my LAST name (Portugal, lead the way)
– Import Portuguese anti-ocupas laws immediately
– Spanish driving rules (but actually enforced 😭)
– Delete Spain’s wealth tax like it never existed
– Cut bureaucracy by at least 80%
– Make everything digital (why am I printing in 2026??)
– One process = one office
Not 3 offices, 4 appointments, and a prayer
– Appointments that actually mean something
(no more “come back mañana”)
– Keep Portuguese prices
– Summer hours all year (non-negotiable)
– Keep the culture, fix the systems
