There's Bicol's pakulaw, a vegetable stew with coconut milk. It can be malunggay, papaya, langka, sitaw, ampalaya, pako, sigarilyas, atbp. You know it's a Bicol dish because the base is either vegetable or fish cooked in coconut milk. If pork, it's new or Spanish-influenced.

LOOK: Campus journalist tagged by PNP as responsible for the violence in the September 21 protest at Mendiola responds to the police through a letter, addressIng the subpeona sent to him on October 7.
Student journalist Jacob Baluyot, associate editor of The Catalyst, the official student publication of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), denied allegations against him by the PNP-CIDG. It named Baluyot as one of the "leaders of the organizations allegedly involved in the violent incident during the Trillion Peso March" on September 21.
According to Baluyot's legal counsel, the subpeona requiring his appearance at the PNP-CIDG investigation already constitutes a custodial investigation, effectively treating Baluyot as a suspect and not a witness.
The College Editors Guild of the Philippines (CEGP) asserted that Baluyot's subpoena adds to a long line of attacks against independent media, including student publications.
"Journalism is not a crime. The PNP, and the Marcos Jr. administration, must focus on holding corrupt officials accountable rather than intimidating journalists and students who exercise their democratic rights," said CEGP National Spokesperson Brell Lacerna.
"DOLE said the firm has no disaster preparedness and response plan for natural calamities, like earthquakes, in its occupational safety and health program."

PINAGTRABAHO KAHIT LUMINDOL
