@StellaParton Let's not delude ourselves. He'll be right back on the campaign trail. Jan 6th should have been his last nail in the coffin yet here we are talking about $ and hookers.....this travesty should have ended THAT day yet it didn't. I have little faith in the system based on just him!
@1pcornwell Me! Spent a year and a half reading every Scarpetta word released! I would read a couple and then put some other authors in between and then return…..I’m currently up to date!💜
BREAKING NEWS FROM CNN:
Today's high-stakes hearing: The Supreme Court appears poised to back former President Donald Trump and fend off a blockbuster challenge to his eligibility to appear on Colorado’s ballot as a presidential candidate in 2024, a move that would extract the justices from one of the most politically fraught appeals in the court’s history.
What the justices said: The justices’ questions to the Colorado challengers suggested support for Trump in the dispute. Chief Justice John Roberts, a key vote to watch in the case, suggested one of Colorado's arguments is "at war" with the thrust of the 14th Amendment. Meanwhile, Justice Elena Kagan, a liberal who is being watched for signs of a possible compromise ruling, asked why a single state should be able to decide who should be on the ballot in a national election.
What’s at stake: While Colorado is the focus, the high court’s decision could have major ramifications in other states that have pending litigation to remove Trump from their 2024 ballots. If the court rules he can be kept off the ballot before Colorado’s March 5 primary, the state has said votes for him would not count.
Derek Muller, an election law expert at Notre Dame Law School who filed a neutral brief that offered analysis of key legal questions, said after the hearing that the justices are likely to put Donald Trump back on the ballot in Colorado.
“The justices seemed concerned that one state could affect the entire presidential election process, and that there needed to be some guidance from Congress before such an extraordinary measure could be taken,” Muller said. “The Court seemed inclined to let the political process play out.”
Muller – who hasn’t taken a position on Trump’s eligibility under the 14th Amendment – pointed out that several justices expressed unease with states implementing the ban without some sort of guidance from Congress.
“It's not surprising to see the justices express discomfort with the proposition that the United States Supreme Court should wade into a factual and legal mire like this,” Muller said. “But it was somewhat surprising that there seemed to be consensus around the theory that states could not do this without congressional legislation."
Former President Donald Trump delivered remarks Thursday after the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in the case on his presidential ballot eligibility.
“I thought it was very— it’s a very beautiful process. I hope that democracy in this country will continue,” he said at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida. “I thought the presentation today was a very good one. I think it was well received. I hope it was well received.”
THIS IS INFURIATING! The Republican Supreme Court is going to let Trump off the hook AGAIN…😡😡😡

BREAKING: Donald Trump's brain misfires horribly when publicly asked by a reporter about the colossal $83.3 million defamation lawsuit that he just lost to E. Jean Carroll — and his response makes zero sense.
The cognitive decline is clearly accelerating...
"Do you plan to try to use campaign funds or PAC money to try pay some of the penalties in the New York defamation and fraud cases?" asked the reporter.
"I don't understand, what?" asked a visibly confused Trump.
"Are you thinking of potentially trying to use campaign money to pay some of those penalties?" the reporter repeated.
"What penalties?" asked Trump, who apparently has already forgotten about the Carroll verdict.
"In the New York fraud case and the defamation case," said the reporter.
"I... I didn't do anything wrong," said Trump. "I mean that's been proven as far as I'm concerned and actually we won in the court of appeals you probably saw that. That case has been largely won in the court of appeals. Uh, that was a political case coordinated with the White House by the attorney general I assume is what you're talking about and we won that case largely in the court of appeals."
The reporter than repeated again that she was asking him about the E. Jean Carroll case.
"That's a ridiculous case," said Trump.
There are a few explanations for Trump's nonsensical remarks. It's possible that he simply has too many indictments and lawsuits for his feeble old mind to keep up with. It's also possible that he is lying like he so often does. Either one makes him unfit for office.

About to start book #85 of 2023…..may make 90 by years end….ended with 62 in 2022…so I’ve improved on my game….I think between 80-90 is respectable….next up….
@MulSclerosis That it is 100% visible. I have my good and bad days. It's the good that throws people off. I have had people say "you look good, but you claim you have MS". Truth is I cover well. I've become stealthy at covering it. Then they see my cane and it's 100x's worse....
I’m so butch! I got the heat working all on my own…..OK so I just endlessly played with bottoms until it worked but come on….its the manliest thing I’ve done in a long time!😆
Onto book #80 for 2023….this was my goal and I still have the rest of the year to squeeze in some more! I’m still reading Freida McFadden….I just can’t pull myself away from them and the fact most are on Kindle Unlimited I’m saving a lot of $…..this is my 11th FM book❤️
I need to get my ass in gear. This book is taking longer than intended but I think it’s because my sleep schedule is so messed up. It’s a good read….just I take the cough medicine and I conk out at like 9 and then I’m wide awake at 3AM…I try to read then but can’t concentrate😒
Wide awake at 4:15 AM.....guess it takes a while for the steroids to not make my anxious and jumpy....but I also slept a bit last evening....so I guess I'll play Monopoly Go for a while🤷♂️🤦
