Not sure what he would have thought of it, but really, he lived it. He knew the story, albeit from his perspective. And he was very aware of my life changes and how they impacted my relationship with him.

FAQ: What did your dad think of the book?

Dad was interested and excited about the book in the sense he thought it was going to be a bit of an anthology of our nomadic life. He loved history and thought of it in that sense as we began by creating a timeline of our moves.

That being said, he never read the final product.

His medical condition had worsened by the time I had finished the rough draft and though Mom reviewed it several times prior to publishing, Dad passed a few months before it hit the market.
