Disgusting what happened at KXNO in Des Moines yesterday. My heart goes out to everyone who lost their jobs to no fault of their own. Those people in the building worked their asses off to produce good local content. Just a pathetic display of corporate greed.
Ford, with support from NASCAR, will stage an exhibition race with several of its drivers in Ford cars (not Cup cars) on Veteran’s Day. Venue TBA as well as any tv/streaming. Will benefit variety of Ford initiatives for military families.
Very sad news. Had the great pleasure of recording several shows with Steve over the years and he was always kind, welcoming, and full of incredible racing stories. A true legend in the media world.
“Darrell”
In case you were wondering, we might have had some fun yesterday.
After spending a lot of time in a room with these two I knew that would be the case.
Give this episode a watch or a listen today. You won’t be disappointed.
I love how this came to happen.
With one lap to go in the Daytona 500, CBS-TV producer Bob Stenner hits his 'all call' key and barks "Everybody lay out !... Ned, be a dad, and call your boy home." You know what happens next...
"Well, Alright!" Ned exclaims. "It's the Dale and Dale show, and you know which Dale I'm pulling for..."
RIP to one of the best broadcasters and best friends this sport has ever known.
Brunson was incredibly gutsy tonight, which was both amazing and nothing new, but I’m going to bed thinking about the defensive plays and rebounding of Josh Hart and the timely buckets from Landry Shamet. Huge factors in Game 1. KAT also stood tall vs. Wemby. Fun one all around.
Kyle Larson on his daughter Audrey's "bow" celebration at Millbridge:
"I was super happy that she thought of that, and then the next night she ended up winning and that was cool to pay tribute to Kyle. It makes me proud to see that the kids understand the situation and are doing their part to support the family and honor Kyle."
Also deeply appreciate longtime Kyle Busch PR rep @BillJanitz for sharing some great insight and stories about Kyle and for @DanielleTrotta giving the background on Prime's touching tribute on the pre-race show.
