The problem isn’t that the franchisees “will” become full MAGA (that’s only gonna be a problem with CNN as it seems).
The problem is that people are gonna lose their jobs because of this and that two iconic studios are gonna be in huge debt, THAT’S what I’m worried about
The voices in children’s animated shows are often recast. I wonder if it’s bc producers think kids won’t notice.
Kids DO notice. My son is obsessed with Paw Patrol and has been watching all the seasons. He’s been imitating the new Marshall voice for days & calling it weird 🤣
It's not over yet, and we are still not doomed
Despite the DOJ approved the merger, we are not letting Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon under the same, the merger must be blocked.
The UK Goverment along with the Europe Goverment, the Brazilian goverment, etc would fight back
The Justice Department just cleared Paramount to buy Warner Bros., and movie fans are celebrating because David Ellison promised to protect theaters.
Oh you sweet summer children.
This is a $111 billion media consolidation involving Paramount, Warner Bros., HBO, CBS and CNN.
Paramount says it can find $6 billion in “synergies.”
That means cutting jobs.
Thousands of people are potentially about to get crushed by redundancies, but hey, MAN OF TOMORROW might get a 45-day theatrical window.
Nearly $24 billion in backing reportedly comes from Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Abu Dhabi.
Bari Weiss could wind up steering both CBS News and CNN.
But apparently none of that counts because it's easier to paint Netflix as the bad guy that hates movie theaters.
Netflix did try to move closer to theatrical distribution.
Hollywood spent years treating the company like an invading army, and Netflix eventually decided it didn’t need permission anymore.
You can dislike that strategy without pretending this massive consolidation is some heroic rescue of cinema.
People are cheering a geopolitical media takeover because they want physical media and a bigger screen.
Media literacy is dead.
How much power are you willing to hand one company just to keep movies in theaters?
I know there’s reason to worry right now but like, isn’t Paramount massively in debt.
There’s a strong chance this is the latest in a long line of blunders for them. May take time, but I don’t exactly see this working out the best for them.
Sega kinda instantly lost a lot of very easy, yet very valuable goodwill with the GenAI scandal in Crazy Taxi. Jesus Christ I'm so tired of this AI crap ruining life's simple pleasures.
i met anthony head at a convention when i was 12 years old, only a week after my grandfather died. i'll always remember what he said to me—that the only thing stronger than the pain of losing someone is the memory of the joy and beauty they brought when they were around.
Heartbreaking news for the Yu-Gi-Oh! community 💔
I recently learned the devastating news that fellow Yu-Gi-Oh! content creator Alex Cimo has passed away after a courageous battle with Stage IV colon cancer.
For many of us, Alex wasn't just another YugiTuber. He was a pillar of the Yu-Gi-Oh! community. A creator whose passion, positivity, and love for the game touched hundreds of thousands of players around the world. It's hard to put into words the impact one person can have on a community, but Alex's influence will continue to be felt for years to come.
My thoughts and deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, and everyone whose lives he touched. Rest in peace, Alex. Thank you for everything! 🕊️
Doesn’t Elevenlabs still have a bunch of AI voices in their database that were made without the original actors’ permission?
Why are companies making deals with them again? 🤔
Companies need to STOP gatekeeping voice over work from remote voice actors.
There are 3 main reasons why remote workers can't straight up work in person:
• Finances
• Disabilities
• Transportation
I’m really tired of this happening. if you’re using AI to clone my voice, you’re going against my wishes and disrespecting me.
I would rather you give actors a chance and hire one to do an impression of my work instead.
VOICE ACTORS!
My previous account was suspended without giving me the reason why and it was permanently put into read only mode. I hate to ask, but I would like to reconnect with people here instead! Please share this around and help me get my moots back!
