The Justice Department just cleared Paramount to buy Warner Bros., and movie fans are celebrating because David Ellison promised to protect theaters.

Oh you sweet summer children.

This is a $111 billion media consolidation involving Paramount, Warner Bros., HBO, CBS and CNN.

Paramount says it can find $6 billion in “synergies.”

That means cutting jobs.

Thousands of people are potentially about to get crushed by redundancies, but hey, MAN OF TOMORROW might get a 45-day theatrical window.

Nearly $24 billion in backing reportedly comes from Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Abu Dhabi.

Bari Weiss could wind up steering both CBS News and CNN.

But apparently none of that counts because it's easier to paint Netflix as the bad guy that hates movie theaters.

Netflix did try to move closer to theatrical distribution.

Hollywood spent years treating the company like an invading army, and Netflix eventually decided it didn’t need permission anymore.

You can dislike that strategy without pretending this massive consolidation is some heroic rescue of cinema.

People are cheering a geopolitical media takeover because they want physical media and a bigger screen.

Media literacy is dead.

How much power are you willing to hand one company just to keep movies in theaters?

I know there’s reason to worry right now but like, isn’t Paramount massively in debt.

I recently learned the devastating news that fellow Yu-Gi-Oh! content creator Alex Cimo has passed away after a courageous battle with Stage IV colon cancer.

For many of us, Alex wasn't just another YugiTuber. He was a pillar of the Yu-Gi-Oh! community. A creator whose passion, positivity, and love for the game touched hundreds of thousands of players around the world. It's hard to put into words the impact one person can have on a community, but Alex's influence will continue to be felt for years to come.

My thoughts and deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, and everyone whose lives he touched. Rest in peace, Alex. Thank you for everything! 🕊️

Companies need to STOP gatekeeping voice over work from remote voice actors.

There are 3 main reasons why remote workers can't straight up work in person:

• Finances
• Disabilities
• Transportation
