@andyburnham How will you ensure that @rotalabus who operate bus services in Burton upon Trent apply the £2 cap (they don’t currently apply the £3 cap)? They say the supplement provided by Government is insufficient.
The Conservative Party is changing.
We are under new leadership.
We are back in the service of the British people. And we are going to give you your country back.

So it looks like @RachelReeves isn't coming on @itvMLshow live budget special tonight 8pm. We put in a bid weeks ago (for live or pre-recorded). Was told it was being considered, but have not heard anything.
Shame as we're most watched current affairs show on TV by miles, no idea why her press team would put her on far less viewed political shows but not mainstream consumer tv?
Don’t worry though, it means more time for me to go through the detail of what it means for you (and the chancellor misses the chance to give her interpretation)
Just to say that within minutes of Kate Kniveton having lost her seat, she messaged me to ask me to carry on her work on family courts. Not my party, but that my friends, is what a decent representative would do.
Take it from someone who has appeared in a few TV debates: if you can only talk about the past, like Keir Starmer did tonight, it’s because you don’t have any plan for the future. @RishiSunak does.
Absolutely gutted to be so near, yet so far.
It has been my honour to serve citizens in the WM for the last seven years, and I hope I have done it with dignity & integrity.
I am proud of what we have achieved together and I hope my successor can build upon it.
Thank you all.
Cracking door to door chats in Stretton with Burton & Uttoxeter MP Kate Kniverton, @HelenFisher62, @conorwileman and Andrew. National issues and good opportunities to explain what I am doing to keep Staffordshire safe.
£2 million.
This is the amount Severn Trent Water have been fined for ‘recklessly’ discharging almost 260 million litres of raw sewage into the River Trent.
We welcome this sentence and will continue to take tough action against companies that breach environmental rules.
We saw the highest recorded levels on the #Trent last week after #StormHenk.
Our #flood scheme at #Burton didn’t just protect ~5000 homes & businesses in the town, it also kept the A38 open, minimising disruption to many more & the wider economy.

Congratulations to Derby – a city which has a historic connection with the railways.
It became home to the iconic Midland Railway in 1844.
And today it’s the new HQ for Great British Railways, driving growth and investment to a city already brimming with the best talent.
