@nickluck@SenseiChanning@Ian_Davies_ You say you have no interest in endorsing anyone’s politics, but put out a post which clearly does, if only by the choice of photo.
Racing needs to be really careful here about using an extremist figure disapproved of by 65% of the British people.
Another excellent podcast; as always interesting on horse racing & betting industries, but some positive moral philosophy as well: @AKBets absolutely right that a world where you think everyone’s trying to cheat you is a sad little world, and @tony_calvin makes strong points.
@AKBets@tony_calvin Another excellent podcast. Best cases made for me were @tony_calvin for the NTF to act collectively on late/non payments, and by AK that banks should be more responsible for AML measures (which we do need) than bookmakers
I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.
They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1
PLEASE check out the @AKBets Budget podcast; correcting popular misconceptions, the winners and the losers, and we answered all the pertinent questions (that we set ourselves). I bet the BHA were horrified at the 40pc line, which turned a win into a loss; https://t.co/bGsgMY7c3w
@kevinblake2011@BetfairRacing As always the racing review was of great interest, but I have to give even more credit for the reasoned way the more difficult topics were dealt with, including the slight detour into the toxicity of social media.
This Sky news piece on Gaza now is horrific. Like "Stalingrad" says UK doctor eating 400 calories a day due to food and water blockade, while saving childrens' lives, under bombing. Shame on the world.

Great to hear @leemottershead admit biggest driver of people to illegal bookmakers is account restrictions; shame that @nickluck chooses to ignore this once again.

As usual @LydiaHislop excellent on this. Considered and eloquent, but pulls no punches when discussing Neil Callan, Bryony Frost and the treatment of whistle blowers.

@SBCinfo Definitely interesting & entertaining. Made clear he was speaking in a personal capacity. As well as life lessons most interesting for me his view that a new law giving clarity on affordability checks would be good, rather than the disaster the industry seem to want us to think
@tony_calvin@BetfairRacing As always really appreciate Tony's openness & honesty. It's a complicated picture, especially as ROI measured on BSP. My records on Tony Calvin bets I've placed show a positive ROI of 16.7% up to July 2022, and 9.1% from August 2022 onwards. The info he gives is very important.
As usual an interesting listen. Have to give kudos to @tony_calvin for sticking up for the importance of journalistic integrity, and credit to @kevinblake2011 for pointing out the hypocrisy of @RacingPost not campaigning against account restrictions.

A great listen. And thanks should definitely go to @tony_calvin for fighting the good fight. A less charitable person than him might have said "shockingly immoral views"
SOME shockingly charitable views from the others here on Joorabchian, Dettori and Parkin - plenty of other topics covered, too, as well as a full weekend review - but I fought the good fight; https://t.co/XV3QDtFYAM
