Be authentic, especially in the tech industry where enough people lead with ego and just don’t care enough.
Want to attract REAL change makers? Be REAL. Have a conscious and strive for excellence.
Dare to be authentic!
It made me the most successful I have ever been because I was no longer afraid to be myself. Authenticity rewards you and attracts the right people!
You just have to give a better option. The industry hasn’t even tried to educate people.
Data centers are known for their use of billions of gallons of water annually and draining our grids, and let’s not get started on that awful humming noise.
The problem is that it’s a closed industry!
If there was a better standardized design that was powered by clean energy and using a WATER POSITIVE closed loop system, low sound - that’s what people could subscribe to!
This solution is out there, the industry just has to change!
The same anti-data center messaging results from the widening gap between the East and the West.
Lazy engineering and greenwashing that went before us, resulting in data centers draining resources, need to be stopped.
Let’s build clean, waterless data centers with carbon neutral energy, instead of letting negative beliefs allow China to get further ahead.
China winning on manufacturing, engineering, supply chains and now social media humor to tell all.
Meanwhile, Americans treating industrial policies as part of the Woke MAGA culture war. Misinformation keeps us from building data centers.
This is our decline scenario.
Why are we even still using grid power effecting communities? All data centers should be energized by dedicated power plants.
Do you know how many acres of solar you need and how many years it costs to build those solar farms?
Why not switch to fuel cell generation, it’s a very clean way of powering a data centers, plus it fits on a very small footprint and can be brought online in months.
Did you know that the almond industry in California alone generates more water than all US data centers combined?
I also know that data centers don’t have to use billions of gallons of water. It’s simply lazy engineering, greenwashing and subsidizing!
Let’s push for better design.
Data centers are essential for the economy and AI, so blanket bans are a luxury belief that ignores competitiveness costs.
Local impacts are real though.
Solution: require zero water designs / closed loop systems and on site self generation of power or make them fully pay for the water and electricity they consume. No free rides.
Data centers arent going away theyre the new factories of the AI age.
The real question is how we build them.
We can keep fighting the old water hungry designs or we can make them water positive run on hydrogen fuel cells and turn them into real economic assets for local communities.
The winning move is proving we can build them better cleaner and more beneficial than the critics think possible.
Very happy I got to be there last week @Danieldalen
Daniel is a great example of what good branding and even better messaging look like when you lead with heart. That combination is rare. Keep it up!
