When is it time to start teaching your kids about consent? Some parents are starting to let their young children know it's OK to say "no" to hugs or kisses from relatives, some as early as just 2-years-old.
Today G7 Interior Ministers heard @MiKohiyama and me represent @BeBraveGlobal and speak about the critical importance of National Survivor Councils to make policies and legislation more effective, efficient and compassionate to #endchildhoodsexualviolence ✊✊✊
🔴 Avec @consentparent nous avons pris la parole pour la première fois en tant que survivantes de violences sexuelles dans l'enfance du @BeBraveGlobal devant des ministres de l'Intérieur du #G7 et hauts responsables à #Ottawa
💡"Survivors understand the flaws of the system and can therefore provide crucial recommendations for public policy to #EndChildhoodSexualViolence."
Brave co-founder @MiKohiyama on @F24Debate about the power of survivor councils👇
🌎 Survivor advocates in 🇫🇷France, 🇩🇪Germany, 🇮🇹Italy, 🇯🇵Japan, 🇨🇦Canada, 🇬🇧UK and 🇺🇸US are demanding leaders to at 2025 G7 Summit #BeBrave and take action to #EndChildhoodSexualViolence!
France’s biggest CSA case exposes systemic failures that let predators continue harming children. @MiKohiyama joins me to break down:
⚖️ How statutes of limitations protect abusers
🧠 Impacts of repressed memory
🏛️ Why institutions cover for predators
Time for reform is NOW!!!
.@CPHO_Canada 1 in 2 children are victims of violence. This November, at the Global Ministerial Conference, you can deliver a breakthrough for the billion boys and girls affected by violence. Will you attend and announce bold action? #InOurHands#EveryChildProtected
Are you a woman or girl who's experienced sexual violence in Latin America? Women and girls continue to experience unprecedented levels of abuse. This is why advocates and warriors like @BrisaDeAngulo continue to use their voices to stand up for those who can't. #BelemdoPara
"Protesters at @Apple Park are demanding that the company reinstate its recently abandoned child safety measures." @appleinsider#WWDC24

Yes, @Apple , take a bow. When kids are traumatized by your inaction to remove child abuse images on iCloud or creation of teen-friendly reporting mechanisms on iPhones/iPads, they will certainly be focused on doing math with your cool new tools... #protectkidsnotabuse#WWDC
@ijustine So @Apple can do something like this but can't make it easy for a teen to report sexual harassment within iMessage? They have to go to the @Apple website, find an email, and email it to report something. Way to go @Apple ! Yes to Genmoji's but no to keeping kids safe?
Today, we showed up at #WWDC, with dozens of survivors, advocates, parents, community + youth leaders and allies, calling on Apple to stop the spread of child sexual abuse on their platforms now.
We must build a future without abuse.
