The problem with <the system> is everything seems perfectly reasonable to those inside <the system>. All the problems with <the system> are about survival within <the system>. But we can’t change <the system> because it works!
<the system> can be just about anything. Politics, science, etc.
I just realized…Trump uses terry goodkind’s “the wizards first rule” to greater effect than any modern politician. To prove that point, all you need to do is say “Trump 2028” in a room of democrats who won’t realize Trump had said *multiple times* “the law is really strong in that” (referring to not being able to seek a third term). It’s hilarious to watch…and to realize the wizards first rule is true. Now democrats, spare me the comparisons to darken rahl. He wouldn’t care about the law and just seize a third term. Which is what you’ll believe is going to happen because the wizards first rule is true. 😂. Oh wait…the first several books are bashing communism…you won’t have read them 😂
To spend crypto it has to hit a bank account in fiat currency. They’ll hit that next. Crypto is great for moving money, but it’s not cheap, because you need an exchange with KYC requirements to prevent money laundering. Then if you want to use defi, you have to buy eth, and convert to a defi coin. That’s 3 transaction fees. Then the same happens coming off the defi chain. If you stick with bitcoin, eth, xrp, or other centralized chains, you just pay the fee to the exchange. I have defi currency. The conversions are a major pain. And since you have to hit an exchange to get real cash back out anyhow, you’re not avoiding anything.
You can make it so they throw themselves out. Ban halal slaughter. Ban Islamic dress. Have work requirements for food and income programs. No free money, no free healthcare, no social programs without putting in more than you take out. It actually self selects for the people you’d actually want to stay and remove all those who shouldn’t be there.
We had the communist control act in this country. It was necessary. Does it move the notch towards authoritarianism? Yes. But that’s always the government’s balance. Find the minimum amount of control necessary to maintain order. The “slippery slope” is a logical fallacy, and you’re making it, by saying controlling a destructive ideology, I’m full on Nazi. No. I’m for minimum control to create order. That’s always the correct balance. Authoritarians like communists are for government control over everything no matter what, because you think a government is an ideal organization that’s magically benevolent, despite being run by flawed people. The actual far right, free market capitalists, do the same thing with businesses or “the market”. The sane people know businesses will always do the wrong thing, governments will always do the wrong thing, you set up checks and balances between them to achieve the best possible outcome for the people. Thus the minimal government to maintain order. The third leg of this is the people. They too can cause mayhem and destruction. Like with business, the government should do the minimum control on the people. Communism is such an attractive idea. People project themselves onto the masses, and think how much better it would be. But the masses contain anarchists, criminals, more motivated, less motivated, and hundreds of facets. Communism works in a homogenous group of people. It’s why it can work on very small scales. But there’s always the people seeking power who try to claim it will work for everyone. They try to upend everything. They use logical fallacies to get people to commit violence against their well tuned governments, to put them in power with communism. And it always fails. This is why it needs regulation. Why we need the communist control act.
I’m sorry you fall victim to logical fallacies, but you already did with communism, so it should have been obvious you’d go right to the slippery slope fallacy, and given how extreme communism is, you’d take everything to extremes. The fact that you cannot understand balance at all is the real problem here. Try it. It works. Why is France in so much trouble? Because they upended that balance. It was by design. By people looking for power. You’re going to be far worse off for it. Unless you learn really fast. Get off your slippery slope. Get off your extremism. Understand balance. You don’t have a lot of time to learn before you reap what you’ve sown.
So you don’t think an ideology can be smashed without harming people? That just makes you a violent leftist. That means we need to defend ourselves from you because you’re unhinged and violent. I believe ideas can win. People can be educated. Do I believe that pacifism always works? No. But do I think it is needed to destroy the communist ideology currently infecting the world? No. The ideology is very much like a virus. Killing the host is not required to kill the virus. Unless you’re a violent stupid leftist with no ideas, than sure, that seems like the only option. But I think there are antivirals to the communist virus. Mainly education. If you consider forced education to be “violence”, then you are again just proving you’re a stupid communist. We’ll make you learn. If you can’t? We just don’t allow you to assemble. Honestly, if you can’t see how stupid communism is, you’re probably too stupid to assemble anyhow 😂.
Disagree. Right now it will help. But it’s a band-aid. Processors get faster. Video cards get faster. Initially organized bad actors will get access to train models like the current gen. A little more time and lone wolves will too. And then what you can do at home just gets better. It would be far better to have counter ai tech. It’s just like the project I’m working on. I’m keeping it such a secret because if it works, (a long shot) in bad actors hands, it can do a lot of damage. It has more peaceful uses than anything else. But every tech gets misused by bad actors. Better to just be able to counter it. In my case, keep it a secret, if it works, keep the secret even then, government/law enforcement develop counters. All secrets get told eventually. So it will be “out there” no matter what, eventually. Hopefully by then we have effective counters created, and it being out there isn’t a problem. So while a law helps now, it needs a sunset. Because eventually, ai will be “out there” and criminals won’t follow laws, and it will become restrictive and oppressive. Better to require a renewal and when it becomes ineffective? Get it off the books.
@Catalepsia_IRun@ThaisEscufon You keep going to people, and violence. I keep saying ideas. I don’t know why this concept is so hard for the left to grasp. Perhaps it’s the lefts violent nature always being projected onto everyone. We are not the same.
@ZEER0HOUR I think I’ll keep my day job 😂. Unless the period is a week! 😂. If it is 😳🤯. I’ll probably still keep my day job. And my night job is the one with potential of trillions…;so unlikely to work 😂). So yeah, no time for 14M impressions!
Honestly, we Americans love to make fun of the French. But this is deadly serious. It’s not a one off in France either. There is an asymmetric war probably run by China and Russia to destroy western civilization. If we get through it, we can go back to making fun of one another if we wish. But until then…we have democrats here trying to do the same thing as was done in France, Sweden, the uk, Germany, the Netherlands, and more. No one is immune. We have to join and fight the left globally. If the old jokes still seem funny after we win, we can go back to them. I suspect they won’t though.
We live in a fallen world. God allows bad things to happen to good people. This isn’t paradise. The left is constantly doing bad things to good people. God won’t smash them. He needs them he cries of the good to convict the evil. It’s up to us to smash the evil when it rises to the level of causing too much misery. Christ himself showed anger when warranted.
Leftists are always the same. Liars. They just want to rule in hell. The left needs a global smashing. They’re wrong, they know it, we know it, they know we know they know it. They’re just evil so their movement needs to be smashed. Hard.
A French left-wing activist mocked those whose livelihoods had been destroyed by violent rioters and looters over the past few days.
“Your little shops, that’s real cute,” said Lola-Fleur Whittaker, who defended the rioters during a French television debate.
Whittaker tried to draw sympathy, stating that her mother is an English teacher who eats cookies for lunch because she can't “pay for the cafeteria.”
However, online users quickly found Whittaker’s social media profiles, where she posts pictures of herself vacationing in places like Oman, the island of Ré, Sicily, the Greek islands, Malaysia, and Egypt.
She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Manchester, and she offers French lessons for €53 per 50-minute lesson on the platform Preply, where she has already taught 1,709 classes.
Either mute or block negativity. I don’t think the algo punishes you for mutes. I don’t think it punishes you for blocking as long as it’s not mass blocking.
To the guy who thinks she’s not real/troll/whatever. None of us are 100% provably “real”. So block her and move on. Being an ass isn’t useful. If she’s “fake” and we’re all being “duped”, it’s not like we’re sending her money. Just engagement. I try to give everyone a fair shake. There are some I unfollow. Some want to be big accounts too badly 😂. Anyhow, I’ll watch and encourage. If she doesn’t join, I won’t unfollow for that. What’s the average for people joining? She’s early in the process. If I end up thinking she’s too desperate to be a big account and is getting annoying with it (one such “influencer” was calling everyone family. Ick. We’re rando anons…not family. That level of pandering was just too much for me), then I’ll unfollow.
I believe Americans have the majority of the worlds guns. Not some military somewhere, just Americans. That doesn’t mean it’s common. But once you start, you want to find “the right one” for you. So you buy more. You have a favorite. Until a new one becomes the favorite. Handguns are different than rifles. So there’s no crossover. Gotta have a favorite handgun and a favorite rifle…and a favorite shotgun. But then you find out it’s so much more complicated than that. Revolver vs semiauto vs single shot hand guns. Single vs double action. Striker vs hammer. Then in rifles, bolt action vs semiauto. Bullpup vs traditional. Oh, and short barreled. Then comes adding suppressors. Then optics. The combinations are endless. You find what works best for you. To try to save your friends some time you keep all of yours so they can try yours to see what they like. But inevitably, they want to try different ones, to find what’s right for them. So everyone ends up with 10’s. You still break out your least favorite every once in a while, at the range, and you think, hmmm, if I just tried (something different) on this one, it might become my favorite. And so you do 😂.
Do I have one on the nightstand? Yes. Locked while I’m at work, on the nightstand at night. I live in a safe area, so I don’t expect to ever need it. But that’s what you always see on the news. People interviewed saying in shock and disbelief “this has always been a quiet neighborhood”. That doesn’t mean it’s common to need it, just that crime is often totally random. It hurts nothing to have it at the ready. Yes. I do forget to take it out some nights. It’s not like it’s a “must do or I won’t be able to sleep”. (I live in a safe neighborhood after all). But how embarrassing would it be to have a criminal break in, have firearms, but not have them handy to defend yourself 😂
@vlozw777 Different NGOs. No one wants to send the money far away. USAID was cut off, so many NGOs lost funding. So the pivoted to European funding. But that money stayed in Europe. Same stuff though.
Ah, my mistake actually, you two posted nearly on top of each other, and I mistook you for the liberal. 😂. Sometimes I should slow down. Anyhow. Good luck with restore. It’s the only chance the uk has. I think it’s too late, but I do hope you guys pull your country out of the nose dive it’s on.
