@Just___Jess99 Precisely. People-oriented skills are crucial to effective client advocacy. Criminal practice is centered around zealous advocacy, implying the need for emotionally intelligent lawyers. Characterizing a woman as "too emotional" to practice criminal law is wrong on so many levels.

@Just___Jess99 Empathy and compassion enhance the practice of law; both should be considered a competency. It speaks loudly that 28% of lawyers are depressed, 19% have anxiety, & 21% abuse substances. Lawyers should learn how to PROCESS their emotions. That's the problem lol
