The extended testing is a precaution to ensure the intended sound output of individual sirens.

During our planned nuclear outages, we replace spent fuel with new fuel – one of the most important tasks in a plant’s lifecycle. Recently, at Braidwood Clean Energy Center in IL, technical experts removed the reactor head to access the core and carefully swap fuel assemblies.
