@TheNewsAgents@GlobalPlayer Extraordinarily brilliant reporting throughout. And well done @legalhackette on bringing to light further catastrophic dysfunction in our legal system.
@arvanaghi Terrific advice, if:
1. Your business model is a multi-sided platform. (Suppliers flock to happy buyers)
2. You've got first-mover advantage in an explosive-growth industry
Otherwise, competitors matter. Not to copy, but to differentiate from.
Great post @arvanaghi

Liz Truss was never a plausible prime minister, but her disastrous tenure was a symptom, not the source of her party's problems.
Changing the leader is not enough. The Tory Party needs a serious reckoning with its recent past, & with the forces that made Truss possible. [THREAD]
@ContrarianJolly This has to be right. Orgs are not comparing then buying a series of outputs. They’re buying status, connections and feelings. The Q isn’t who’d accomplish X best/quickest/cheapest, it’s which firms do people/orgs like us use? Hence client clusters by size & industry.
@CarrNext Adapting to new ways of working needs investment. Scale helps. Agree merging to plug gaps & bolt on new practice areas is unattractive. Merging with competitors to strengthen core competencies strategically sensible. Historically most have been in the former camp, though.
@kristinhodgins TBF pandemic stocks - Zoom, Peleton, Netflix etc - all back to pre-pandemic levels. Perhaps a correction rather than a vote against legal tech?
