@AmyDickman4 We agree there shouldnt be this false dichotomy, but under an endless growth machine like capitalism, it becomes an unworkable , and ultimate a massive crisis like the one we are now facing. Hence, we need radically different visions, not just tweaking in margins.
@AmyDickman4 Not really - this is an inherent tension that needs to be embraced rather than avoided. A political economic system that understands that local decisions are part of a global commons can have both. Not without conflicts or issues, but certainly a much better than under capitalism
@AmyDickman4 Money is not the same as commodification - we can deal with money and income very differently than we are doing currently. A conservation basic income can be a good step in this direction - as Convivial Conservation also proposes.
