T Corona Borealis is a star that erupts periodically as a recurring nova. It was last seen in 1946. Current behavior of the star suggests it could erupt again soon - maybe this summer. If it does blaze, it will be visible in the night sky without a telescope.
@AlexHolleyFOX29 If Fox29 would give The Franklin Institute that much live studio time, I can promise our science demos would be far more exciting! Shop local!
@AlexHolleyFOX29 What was that crazy talk from Thomas about Cas A and 37,000 years? It’s 11000 lys away but as we see it, the parent star exploded 340 years ago.
Congratulations! 🎉 @TheFranklin’s @CoolAstronomer is in the #blooloop50 Museum influencer list for 2023.

Asteroids are the building blocks of our solar system, and this asteroid contains the building blocks of life. Our initial analysis of the 4.5-billion-year-old rocks from asteroid Bennu delivered to Earth by #OSIRISREx shows evidence of carbon and water.
