If you see wild turkeys in your neighborhood, you're seeing one of the biggest conservation wins in American history.
They were down to just 30,000 birds in the 1930s. There are now over 6 million across the US.
They're excellent natural pest control, eating beetles, snails, mice, and even ticks.
A wild turkey in your yard isn't a pest, but a native species that almost disappeared and came back because hunters, biologists, and state wildlife agencies spent 50 years bringing it back.
In case you weren’t feeling old this morning, this iconic moment in Rangers history happened 10 years ago.

The Fed is late:
Based on recent data, President Trump's calls for rate cuts beginning ~5 months ago were correct.
And, it's even more evident that this is the case after over -300,000 jobs were revised out of 4 months of data.
However, it's also clear that the Fed was correctly basing their decisions in early-2025 on the wrong data.
Inflation was not at 2% and the labor market appeared "strong," but it clearly wasn't.
Something is seriously wrong with the data.

What the media says:
"U.S. adds 254,000 jobs and unemployment declines, blowing away expectations."
What the media forgets to say:
86% of the jobs created in September were government jobs, paid for by deficit spending (inflation) and taxes, that add negative value.
According to the Household Survey, 86% of the jobs created in September were government jobs. Without the seasonal adjustment, 100% were government #jobs. How convenient. These are non-productive jobs that are paid for by either taxes or #inflation. We're better off without them.

This is why we should always pay tribute to people when they're still alive. The joy and the emotion on their faces are priceless.
Yes there is, Tim. It is called the U.S. Constitution. That is exactly what prevents the government from stifling dissent by labeling something “hate speech” or “misinformation.”
Yes, I understand, some forms of speech are repugnant, such as expressions of racial bigotry. Problem is, the category of hate speech expands to include everything the censors “hate.” As for misinformation, who decides what is true and what is false? The government? In authoritarian countries, yes, the government. That is why freedom of speech lies at the very heart of democracy.

during the 1992 presidential debate Ross Perot was asked to give his vision for America in 1 minute.
this means more to me now than it did back then because now I know everything about the two losers he was standing in between when he said it - Bill Clinton and George HW Bush.
Hey @nike,
I’m Rodney Smith Jr., the founder of “Raising Men & Women Lawn Care Service,” a nonprofit dedicated to mowing free lawns for the elderly, disabled, single parents, and veterans. Through our 50-yard challenge, we’ve inspired over 5,000 kids to join us in giving back.
Over the years, I’ve had customized lawn mowers made to support various causes, from breast cancer awareness to childhood cancer and veteran support & many more . I’ve taken these mowers on 50-state tours and auctioned them off, donating 100% of the proceeds—raising over $19,000 to date for these important causes.
As a lifelong fan of Nike, I got something made special for you: the “Just Mow It” lawn mower. I’d be thrilled to gift it to you, or even personally deliver it to your HQ in Oregon. Here’s an idea: we could have some of your incredible athletes sign the mower, then auction it off with all funds going to a nonprofit supporting veterans, whether it’s for PTSD support or helping homeless veterans.
Looking forward to your thoughts!
—Rodney Smith Jr.
Wake Forest has not beaten a top 10 opponent since October 26th, 1946, when they defeated #4 Tennessee. The nearly 80 year drought is the longest in FBS history.
