These people are the future of India.
75+ year old Modi is not the future
@ianmiles This premise is inaccurate. American tech giants like Google, Apple, Amazon, and Walmart dominate major Indian markets. India’s FDI policy is largely open, though some sectors maintain regulations for local industry protection and data security—similar to U.S. policies.

BREAKING: For the first time in history, Elon is ready to lower Starlink's prices to make it affordable for Indian users.
This is getting out of hand!
Elon is on a mission to bring internet access to every corner of India. Whether it's remote areas, emergencies, or floods, Starlink can provide connectivity where traditional networks struggle to work.
Dear Prime Minister Ambani,
Please welcome Starlink into the Indian market. Starlink will not put you out of telecom business. The great people of India deserve options when it comes to internet services and the freedom to choose whichever provider best meets their needs.
Competition is not a threat. It drives innovation, improves services, and ultimately benefits the people of India.
There is room for everyone to compete and succeed.
We can all compete TOGETHER
TRAI’s August 2026 figures show Jio had 538.03 million broadband subscriptions and Airtel had 386.39 million. Together, that is roughly 84% of India’s broadband subscriptions.
Give @Starlink a fair chance to compete, connect underserved communities and bring Indians another broadband option.
India deserves Starlink.
Consumers deserve the power to choose.
More competition. More choice. More power to Indian consumers.
The ridiculous arguments by Ambani’s army of Internet shills make no sense
On the one hand, they say Starlink couldn’t possibly compete with the amazing low prices offered by Ambani’s de facto monopoly in India and then, in the same breath, they essentially claim that Starlink would be too strong of a competitor! This is absurd hypocrisy and hyperbole.
The reality is that competition would greatly benefit the average citizen in India by giving them more choices, as it always does. Ambani’s profits will be lower, but he is not going out of business. And, obviously, if Starlink is too expensive in India, no one will buy it, so SpaceX will need to make pricing affordable.
Some Indians cope by bragging about unlimited 5G for ₹349. 🤡
🇮🇳 India: Jio ₹349 plan, 28 days. Annual cost: ₹4,537 (about 13 recharges).
🇺🇸 USA: T-Mobile $45/month plan. Annual cost: $540 (about ₹45,360).
India’s annual per-capita GDP: ~₹2.25 lakh.
USA’s annual per-capita GDP: ~₹75 lakh.
That ₹349 plan costs about 2% of India’s per-capita GDP, compared with just 0.6% in the US.
Cheap data doesn't automatically mean affordable data. Compare it with people's purchasing power before bragging.
