When you are reading a great book, you don't want it to end.
When you found a great purpose, you are not in a hurry to reach the end either.
Many people nowadays are constantly in a rush to get things done as fast as possible, and they end up enjoying none of the journey.
Some of the greatest things in life can only be appreciated if you take it slow.
I'm not the best writer, but it is a strength. I might be a 90th percentile writer.
And I'm not the best marketer, but it is a strength. Again, maybe 90th percentile? I'm better than most, but if you pass 100 people on the street it won't be hard to find some people better than me.
What I have gradually learned is that it is not your strengths, but your combination of strengths that sets you apart. It is the fact that writing and marketing are mutually reinforcing—and that I enjoy both—that leads to great results.
How can you combine your strength? That's something I would encourage everyone to think about. You will find talented people in every area of life. It's the combinations that are rare.
you must start doing whatever it is that scares you, starting now, as you freedom literally depends on it. you have many things that you want to do, yet bury them to not have to deal with the fear, eventually forgetting you even ever desired. this is how you lose your dreams.
You solve a problem by sitting with it.
Obsessing over it.
Any problem, huge or small, will eventually be solved when it occupies your mind for long enough.
When a problem is your lens for reality, you subconsciously pick up information and piece together the solution.
everything is mental, therefore, everything is changeable. if you cant change, its because you think you cant change. we cant see reality for what it really is, we only see how we imagine it to be. so force yourself to imagine reality in a way that benefits you.
the reason you feel weak is because you never challenge yourself. you need to stop overthinking everything beyond your comfort zone, and just do it. more action, less thinking.
It’s almost magical how much we can change our base experience over thousands of hours. In the short term we’re annoyingly hard but over years of practicing towards a particular direction we’re incredibly malleable
stop taking everything as right or wrong. allow yourself to listen, as the information could be right, and you could be wrong. you will never learn if you stick yourself in one belief pattern and never change. question your own beliefs before you question others.
Life never stops getting better as long as you keep giving yourself difficult goals. The moment you settle for less than you could achieve, is the moment you become anxious and mentally weak. Life rewards people who respect themselves and stay ambitious about who they could be.
stop living for others. the validation you want from others will never come from people pleasing. stop seeking what others want from you, and instead, start seeking what you want from yourself, and as you do this, the people you were trying to please will start pleasing you.
