Contrary to popular belief, this giant sequoia isn’t the tallest or the widest tree, but it has the biggest trunk volume on earth.

Just to add, the mites on the bee are harmless and are hitching a ride until she founds a nest at which point they will disembark and keep her new nest clean.

Winter is a great time to get a better look at the weird and wonderful #lichens that grow on trees all over #Dartmoor.
Take care not to disturb as they only grow between 0.5 and 8mm a year. These have been around for a few decades at least.
